This poor little thing about broke my heart as she was perusing the trash can as if it were a buffet.
I went to her and took her hand and pressed twenty dollars in it. Her eyes widened with fear, then she grabbed me with all her strength and her eyes moistened with thankful tears.
I look at this photo and the elderly in Vietnam and Korea come flooding in.
What was her story? Had she been a discarded slave?
What do you think?
Thank you all-- simple seems to best
I'm glad it could retrieve and old feeling
Thank you. But I think it's biggest feel was a 12-pack of Budweiser
Downtown Dubuque warehouse district. It's a B&W paradise
Also home to world's oldest Incline Elevator
Amazing shots from a freaking cell phone. I'll bet Nikon and Canon wouldn't be too thrilled with these.
The B&W belongs in the Guggenheim or MOMA.
That's second nice photo you put up here
So simple, so serene . . .
I love fog so much I bought a Tiffen Fog Filter (don't waste your money).

Thanks for the kind words.
They must've been some skinny assed mothers
Even the jail is a high-rise in the city of the first skyscraper.

I was just poring over some of old Playboy Magazines. Hugh Hefner would be proud.
I have read that waves need Michigan's long North to South run to build up waves.
So, going by that logic, would the wind have to be blowing from the West on Erie to build up waves?
These waves are an awesome sight and feel. If you're in Chicago and the wind is blowing from the North at 20mph- plus -- grab your camera and head for the lake.
The wind Must come from the North - NW or NE
These waves were shot just off Fullerton Avenue
