I know there are probably many things wrong with this picture, but this is really what prompted me to want to do better with my photograpy. I love this picture of my dog Caiden, and my dogs are my subjects a LOT :)
It's his expression, a longing, the love I feel for him, it's so many things, but I strive to capture that feeling when I go to obedience classes and see the handlers with their pets and you can feel and see the bond they have with one another. This was taken quite a while ago with my older Canon and I was really just beginning to get into taking photo's, but if I can capture "those" moments in the future, I will feel truly blessed.

Aren't they beautiful. We have one that hangs around our yard occassionally, but I'm never quick enough to capture it. Great job!

Hi Aspliz and welcome aboard. I too have just joined and do understand your frustration. I get frustrated too, but am not going to give up, because I believe we all have the potenial. I keep telling myself, Rome wasn't built in a day and I can't learn all of this in a day either, so I'm trying to take my time and breathe when the shots aren't working out the way I want them too. I'm going to look into those book Rich recommended. I need something that will speak to me in plain english so I can truly understand what I should be doing. Wishing you luck and can't wait to see your photos. I'm into dogs as well and luckily I have one that loves to pose. The other one, well, not so much :)

Thanks Robert for the words of wisdom. I know mamamacaw and I can sure use the advise. I'm going to practice your way and see what happens. I too can use all the advice I can get. And Rich, I'm going to look into those books for sure :)
