Saw on the news a Space-X Falcon 9 was about to launch. Grabbed the camera and the 600mm zoom to try and capture a few photos. The cape is about 60+ miles from my house and I estimating this rocket was at least 70-80 miles away at the time of the photos. Second photo is the start of staging. Best in download but it was still quite a ways away with lots of humidity and some high clouds. Not great, clear photos but its still fun to watch these beauties fly. A Delta Heavy (3 boosters) is scheduled to launch by United Launch Alliance (ULA) on Thursday evening, hoping to get some photos of a night shot, weather is always a challenge though....Cheers

I feel like most folks here have lost all perspective and now have a one track mind.

If a few were smart to begin with, now it is not the case. There is no real argumentation based on analysis and critical thinking taking place here, just folks taking a position however right or wrong it is and start insulting anyone who dares disagree with it.

Most if not all supposedly 'proof' offered through links and quotes come from propaganda site within the US, the rest from abroad. Research and verification is dead. Just claim something and find a site however wacko it is and use it as 'support'.

The earth is flat? Easy.
Conspiracy? Easy.
Trump lies? Easy.
Bidden lies? Easy.

Just type the questions above and you will find a slew of links to support the allegations...

Now if one takes the time to investigate the link(s) used??? Ouch, not so easy but then again... It's on internet so it must be true. Same reasoning as when TV was new, the radio, the printed press...

So, WHERE is your critical thinking? When do you start questioning your sources agenda, bias and the like? When do you start reading and learning about was the other side is using (the same rather stupid way)? But mostly? When do you do your own research?

When I start giving credence to something the first thing I do is I try to destroy it by finding sources that are from the opposing points of view, verify their claims and then either modify/abandon/refute what was my initial impression.

I will not hide that politically I am dead set against the GOP as it is a party who has perverted and abandoned all that it stood for once upon a time. The decline is not recent but started decades ago when that party started it 'religious' political agenda. Now this party is reduced to bankrupt politicians only able to bow and offer their **** to their great leader with a few precious exceptions.

I am fiercely opposed to the still president of the US because of his r****m, lies, demeanor and profound dishonesty. At the same time I am angered by the media that refuses to expose the true nature of this man and divert the attention from what is really important by using distortion, innuendoes and lies. Talking heads prevail on both sides and all are serving their own masters, not the t***h.

A man who starts his campaign with a r****t rant should never have been able to rise to the presidency yet here we are, four years later, in a country divided over the economy, r****m and an e******n that was the most scrutinized in history!

One good thing in all these years... By having a 'closet' r****t in the white house the population has shown its true colors. There is no way to sweep r****m, bigotry and exploitation under the rug, something I fear the next guy will try to do under the name of 'reconciliation'.

I do not want 'reconciliation' nor do I want a 'reckoning' I want a true approach to the issues leveled and find a positive solution that does not include hiding behind a rock, a head in the sand of the three monkeys. We need a hard confrontation to really determine what we stand for as individual first then as a country.

To achieve lofty goal this we need critical thinking. The last part is a lacking all over, as displayed here and elsewhere, UHH 'debates' are sadly not unique and show the mental illness that is perverting society and prevent decent conversation.
I feel like most folks here have lost all perspect... (show quote)

Well we know the earth is not flat, if it were, cats would have already knocked everything off...that's critical thinking.

However when it comes to critical thinking, just look at the current state of the media today. Completely uneducated reporters/journalists, lacking professional sk**ls of any kind, looking for the easiest scoop, altering the message to meet their agenda, never doing ANY research. Most people get their information from the news media and now its so slanted, its totally no longer credible. Any wonder why many have staked out their positions, can't believe anything you read.

And yet you continually express your utter hatred for the President based on information published by a totally dishonest media which started trashing him even before he was elected. There is NO SUCH THING AS S******C r****m in America, just another 'trigger' word developed by the media and liberals to advance an agenda. I don't always care for President Trump's demeanor but President Trump is no r****t, far from it. Yet you have no actual facts of r****m, misogyny, bigotry or any other bias, just what you think and get from the discredited news media.

We will always agree to disagree since we are polar opposites....I support the Constitution, the E*******l College and the Republican Party. I'm now totally against what used to be a moderate Democrat Party that has and is continually veering hard left against everything America stands for....Cheers, Merry Christmas

Thanks for the bird compliment.

I think things are finally looking up compared to the last for years of incompetence and lies.

Check your sources you my be surprised.

Stay safe.

Thanks but lies and incompetence has been spread like jam on bread by Democrats, 4 years of eternal investigations (Schiff, Nadler, Pelosi, Comey, Mueller, and an FBI cast of many) have proven absolutely nothing....however we can always agree to disagree Joer and I'm sure we will..., Cheers.

Hoping to drive out west for Christmas (Desolate Utah) and social distance wherever we go. Just recovering from major surgery and getting totally bored not being able to travel, 2020 has been the pits. We'll be safe and you do the same.

Every generation says that about the prior generation.

Sadly, we're seeing many of this generation disrespect the 'Greatest Generation' and even try and alter the accomplishments of those previous generations.....that's a product/failure of the current education system and not respecting what the previous generations have accomplished...Our history is a terrible thing to waste or eliminate and well, you know the old saying....Cheers Joer

My favorite quote from Samuel Langhorne Clemens is "Its easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled."

So true, Great 'Philosopher'...

I prefer; “Don’t go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.” Something that the new generation had better start learning...Cheers

Well, you have just described Donald Trump. Not a politician, v**ed for both parties in the past. Puts America and the people first. Way to go.

So true and the establishment h**ed him because he exposed the h**e, corruption, cronyism and hypocrisy in DC

The only thing worse than a democratic is a republican. We need to get rid of the party boys and get some people into the government that work for the people.

LOL, Joer, now that's funny coming from an Illinois resident. A state that's been run by Democrats for generations and generations and is now teetering on the verge of total bankruptcy and financial collapse. Republicans may be bad but the majority of the states that are prospering (as well as you can in this era of Chinese C***d ) are Republican or Red states. Here's a heads up Joer, both Dems and Republicans are bad, only difference is that the Dems are far more corrupt. Seriously when you look at Pelosi & Schumer now agreeing with McConnel's C***d relief plan, its about the same number he submitted last month that both Pelosi & Schumer shot down. Its all about power, n agenda and gamesmanship. We're now in the first couple of the Gimme, Gimme generations and if they're the future, the future looks pretty bleak...

Cheers Joer, post some more of those fantastic bid photos you do so well.

It’s the same all over now, it’s all about gaining control and an agenda these days, to hell with the citizens and the country

No matter what side you are on. you gotta know that something fishy happened in the electioin.. I think that Biden will be president, but there were plenty of irregularities (mostly against Trump)

Need to eliminate mass mail outs for mail in b****ts, so many opportunities for corruption and fraud... It’s the responsibility of the v**er to register and v**e, not the government forcing and holding their hands. Want a mail in b****t, register and apply for absentee b****t.

Trump couldn’t care less what happens to anyone other than himself. If you think otherwise, you are completely ignorant of how he lives his life.

....says the anti-American, far left, Socialist supporting Lib. Really think Democrats would have ever cut regulations, provided funding and fast track testing for a v*****e? Dems have never seen a regulation they would cut or allow any pharmaceutical company to fast track any drug. If you think otherwise, you're ignorant of how Democrats truly operate. A destroyed economy is what the Democrats are after and they're working hard to get it....Cheers RixPix, have a great evening, btw, v*****e coming soon

Does he care?

Cares? Of course but he doesn't want the cure worse than the illness...far more people have been devastated and lost their livelihoods than have been impacted directly by C***d. Trump is working to get the v*****e out to America before Biden taxes it and the pharmaceutical companies out of business.

That was amazing! The “pilot” has great command of the model. Obviously, he cannot be a photographer. Having two hobbies becomes way too expensive. Take it from me. I want to get a flying license and still photograph too.

It all cost nowadays Scruples and nothing is getting any cheaper....flying, R/C or even photography.
