If you are there August 21, you can watch/photograph the solar eclipse. Nebraska is in the path of totality and is one of the best places to watch the eclipse.
Can you share the location where the owlets you photographed where taken please ? I live in MA too and am interested. Thank you.
There is a 600mm f4 DO that is likely to come out soon. Canon has already shown the lens at Canon EXPO and hopefully by end of this year would be in the market. That would be the lens that would be light weight and you could carry when travelling on safaris. Check it out at canonrumors.com website.
5DIV is 7 FPS and not 30 FPS. It is a 30 MP.

I photographed this Amur Falcon in South India. This bird migrates all the way from Northern China to S. Africa passing via India.
Excellent pictures sir ! I am from India too - Coimbatore. Just curious do you go far from Goa to find the birds or are they in and around Goa ?
I would like to buy the 1.4X III extender. Where are you located ? How do you want me to send payment,
Venkat

The flower/ plant is Bromeliad. I picked it up from Home Depot. Also I used sugar solution drops into the flower. The hummer seemed to like it and kept coming back. Shot with Canon 7dmkII and 100-400 IS mk II lens at ISO 6400. I wish i could have used a lower ISO but shutter speed may not have been sufficient.
I set up the flower on my deck and was waiting for this beautiful jewel to come. It did show up and I was delighted to get the shots and sharing with you all ! Download files and view them to see better details.
