I've had lots of success with animals in just letting them relax while I set up camera on tripod. I set up the shot and use a remote shutter release to capture them.

Hello Everyone. I'm new to digital photography. Just purchased my first DSLR recently. After shooting medium format for many years with a Rolleiflex TLR and Hasselblad, I decided to get a Nikon D800 because of the resolution.
