I just ordered iPhone 14. I have almost switched completely to iPhone.

I've never owned an iPhone and probably never will.

The elk rut is on here in the east as competition for the ladies heats up

Nice photos. I hope they don't come too far east. We have enough problems with the deer in this part of Pennsylvania. We don't need their larger cousins causing problems also.

That would be Mom's Café in Salina, UT. My wife and I stopped there several times on our way from California to Denver. Delightful.

Have you ever been to Bob's Grill in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina? They have absolutely fantastic breakfasts there. Their motto is, eat and get the hell out. Every time I've been there the place was packed.

I went to The Willows pond to shoot some Dragonflies today but there weren’t any and it started to rain 10 minutes after getting there. I was down low to get the invisible dragons and when I stood up to go back to my car a bird flew out from just under where I was and landed 20 feet away. I couldn't tell what it was but thought it might be a small Green Heron - it turns out that it’s a juvenile Green Heron. Typically, I don’t see anything special at this place except for the two Kingfishers that live there - so, this was an unexpected treat!

Nice one. I've seen quite a few of them and their much larger cousins along the Perkiomen.

The problem is that they are so popular that even Canon fans are ditching their systems and ordering them, making it difficult for Nikon shooters to get theirs...

I've read some ridiculous responses here on UHH. Your response is definitely one of them.

If that's what I think it is, I guess it sums up the topic.

An nuclear power plant that has been shut down after Three Mile Island event. Somewhere in the direction of Easton, PA.

They are not smokestacks, they are cooling towers. To the best of my knowledge, there was never a nuclear powerplant in that part of PA. Probably an old coal fired powerplant.

I’m okay with playing. With cameras, they are nice toys. But not with anything labeled as “assault.” Even an assault stuffed teddy bear.

Somebody once asked me at the Philadelphia Flower Show, why do I have such a large lens. I was using my EF 28-300L at the time. I jokingly replied it's a good lens and also make a pretty good weapon in needed. An assault lens!?

Recent threads have mentioned “Assault Cameras.” However, I’m not aware what this refers to. Can someone here enlighten me?

I think it's a play on assault weapons, or cameras mounted on rifle stocks. There's images of them on the internet.

Did any other UHH'ers get a Microsoft update today?
Any idea what is does or is for?
Is anyone noticing anything odd or not working correctly with your Windows based PC after the update?

Both my Windows 10 Home PC and my wife's Windows 10 Professional PC updated today.
We are just starting to look for any issues.
Thanks.

Usually when they put out an update like the one you are referring to, it's security and fault patches and little to no functionality changes.
