Thanks for your response. I tried last night to attempt some photos but didn't have much luck...NO SHOOTING STARS!.
Anyway, I may try again tonight. Thanks Bri

I have a Cannon Rebel T4i. I will be attempting to take some pics of the shooting star phenomenon that is to take place tonight and tomorrow night. I'm fairly new to this and have never taken pics at night.
Can anyone give me some advice on what settings I should be working with. Should I use auto or manual?
If manual what settings do suggest I start with.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I do have a tri-pod. Thanks Bri

Thank you everyone for your gracious welcome. Look forward to posting new and current pictures instead of the pics from the past.

Welcome to our forum! Age is all in your head. Think young and stay young.

Nice images. Care to tell us about them?

Hi Jerry. Well a few years ago I had a Canon S2 that I used to shot pics with, I went to a class and did some projects which the lower two pics came from. One is the top of a statue at a memorial and the other a guy painting in Boston Commons.
The top picture is of me holding my 2 hour old son on March 23, 2008. Hence thr decline in my picture taking adventures.
But now I've got a new camera and want to start over and get involved with this pic taking again! Brian

Hi, my name is Brian and I just recently joined this forum. It's been said that 60(years old) is the new 40 so I guess I will be turning forty again in the not to distant future.
Anyway, I am fairly new to photography while using a fancy SLR, a Canon Rebel T4i ( Is this camera and the BMW 2002 Ti related?), and I'm a bit overwhelmed by the gadgetry of it. So I'll do my best to learn, perhaps take a class or two and ask questions here on UH to help me along this journey.
I live my life one day at a time and hope all is well to one and all!
Thanks Brian
