Excellent photos Dan with my vote going to the last two. Really very nice. I even like the seagulls. They are to be expected and you have them placed well within your photo.

Thanks, that is interesting information that could be useful tracking ships movements.

I got lucky with this early morning arrival, but there are way too many seagulls. I hope you enjoy.

There were a few gaps in the clouds, but most of the time it was just clouds, and the clouds managed to obscure the sun during the totality of the eclipse. I did see what I thought was a bat in flight, but of course, I got no pictures. I hope you enjoy.

Wires, trees, and rooftops are likely locations to spot black-bellied whistling ducks, and sometimes near water. I hope you enjoy.

I don't understand, Dan. What should I be looking for to see what you are seeing? I don't do photo stacking but I'm thinking about it. BEAUTIFUL flower shots!

I guess I'm too much of a pixel peeper, but I can't zoom in enough to see the distortion in ugly hedgehog.

We get these irises every spring, but the blooms only last for a day. Unfortunately we do not get lilies for Easter. If you look close, you will see Photoshop did not quite accomplish seamless blends in the stacking process. I hope you enjoy.

The shots are taken at a distance of about 6 to 8 miles on a day with low humidity, but there is plenty of atmospheric distortion. The first image puts the size of the new harbor bridge in perspective. You can see the north tower still going up as the deck expands laterally with the old bridge in the foreground.

Nice! I named the one Uno!!! Did you notice he seemed to always have one who followed him around.

I did not. It was cold, and I left before I wanted to. My gloves were inadequate.

In the first picture, the second moose only has one antler remaining. This was the closest encounter I have had with moose, and they were fairly cooperative. The last image is a second encounter on another day. I hope you enjoy.

I had hoped that by going to Yellowstone in February I would be able to photograph buffalo covered in snow. Unfortunately for me, snowfall was light, the weather was warm, and the buffalo were scarce. At any rate, here are a couple I like.

I did not see many elk in February, but I saw a couple with antlers. I don’t believe I have seen an elk with the tiny antlers pictured in the third image. They look like old-fashioned rabbit ear TV antennas. If it was a deer, it would be called a spike, but I am unfamiliar with the elk terminology. Also, I saw even less sheep, so I included the one I saw with this set.

The color of the first image is rather nice in download. I hope you enjoy.

You got some good ones!!! Did you see Trent got a bobcat like yesterday!!!!!

My wife told me Trent got a bobcat, and she saw several posts from others. We got a glimpse of a bobcat at the willow kill sight when we were there.

This marten attracts a lot of attention between Silver Gate and Cooke City. A lady feeding birds also feeds the pine marten occasionally. It is unusual to see pine martens because they are mostly nocturnal and they are solitary. I hope you enjoy.

WhenI was in Grade School, measles was no big deal. It was way before the MMR vaccinations were even thought of.
Typically, Little Johnny would come into class and say to the teacher, "Please Miss, my sister won't be in for a few days, she's got measles". The prevalent attitude was, OK, let's get this over with before the holidays.
So why do we break out the Hazmat suits and go into Level 3 lock-down when someone even whispers the word?
Something must have changed!

The measles, plague, and other infectious diseases are coming across our southern border daily. We used to quarantine people to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. What happened?

This sequence shows a coyote hunting in Yellowstone. Unfortunately for the coyote, he was not successful, but he gives a parting glance as he walks away.
