Our second attendance, the last one six years ago. This time we were determined to be on the front row. My wife still recovering from the 3.30 am alarm call yesterday but we achieved our goal. Not known how many were there but up to 80,000 regularly attend. He is not well, but what a memorable morning to be in the presence of this amazing man.
Nice way to spend St Paddy's Day. The youngster at the rear in image three reminds me of myself as a boy.
They did a Chicago and dyed the water. So from now on it will always be remembered by me as the US National Greenwater Center.

Just curious what everyones thoughts on joining Kelby One. Do you get a lot out of it and is it worth the money?
Not a paid subscriber, but two free or low cost options.
Search YT and you will find a regular video series by Kelby called "The Grid", average video length is ~ 1.30 but easy to scroll through for content you are not interested in. Kelby and his compatriot Eric Kuna have two regular sections (i) A "blind photo critique" (2) "Editing tips" that I find both invaluable and they also regularly invite high quality guests.
Additionally, some time ago I bought the first four Kelby "Digital Photography" books. Even if they haven't been updated, they still contain valuable content. These first four books can be purchased second hand very cheaply through "Second hand books" or "Thrift books" or "eBay".
There is also a "Scott Kelby's Digital Photography Boxed Set, Parts 1-5 (First Edition, Download)" for ~ $70

usually my camera is in my left hand as i wander around. sometimes in my back, the i have to stop unpack and take my shot. i have seen some ads for a harness type where it looks like it attaches and stays a bit more static
Any advice out there. headed on a multi city adventure this summer
Ditched all three of my "upper-body" straps, and exclusively use the Peak Design Cuff Strap
https://www.peakdesign.com/collections/straps/products/cuffIt is secure, unfussy and lightweight. Ideal for my smaller lenses (~EF 24-105) and I also use it with my EF 100-400 without too difficulty.

Okay, I don't know how to continue a previous post. Is anyone familiar with the town of Whitefish? We are looking at lodging that's pet friendly for Glacier National Park and one of the places is Whitefish and the other is Columbia Falls. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Where are you actually staying in Glacier Park? We have timeshare in Columbia Falls (Meadow lake) so we know the area well. Not trying to rent it out!

We will have 2 full days in Santiago, both going and returning from the Falklands this coming November. Looking for any suggestions of how to fill our time.
Thanks,
CM
Spent three days in Santiago a couple of years back
1 One trip into the hinterland, Cajon Del Maipo
2. One day trip to the coast, Valparaiso
3. One day in the city, including an organized city tour. If you get the chance go to the Presidential Palace "Palacio De La Moneda". In the square opposite you will find a statue of President Salvador Allende identifying that he died on a well known date in history i.e. 9/11 (but in 1973); the day that the awful General Pinochet took over.

Tim Shields and Photography Academy
I curious to what you people think. I'm forming an opinion and I'm wondering if I'm on the right track.
Highly talented photographer who has built a very successful on-line business as a trainer/teacher. Similar MO to Serge Ramelli by initially attracting clients to buy courses by offering free on-line content which naturally over time has reduced. The free on-line content was valuable and professionally produced. Not sure if all of it is still available. Highly personable and effective communicator.
Expanded to a monthly subscription offering with personal coaching, although I understand that enrollment is now closed. Markets under the title "Photography Academy".
I think at one stage a B & H Ambassador, not sure if he still is involved.

We are doing the 2-week Rick Steves Best of Ireland tour, Dublin to Belfast. It seems very comprehensive. We want to add 5-7 days to our trip. Question: add time in Ireland——where? OR return to Iceland and do a couple of day tours to more remote areas we did not see 2 years ago on our self-drive Ring Road trip? We will fly Iceland Air. Thanks for suggestions.
We did a seven day driving tour in and out of Dublin last year. Might be worth looking at, in case Steves (I assume self drive?) tour doesn't include some of the following:
* Cobh; Cork
* Ring of Kerry; Ross Castle (we were based in Killarney). Note. Take a bus tour of the Ring of Kerry, not the car. Cars and buses have to drive the ~ 120 miles in opposite direction.
* Cliffs of Moher; The Burren: Castle Doonagore (we were based in Limerick)
* Galway city (great at weekends); Kylemore Abbey; Connemara National Park (we were based in Galway)
