Today I bought a new Canon 5D sr camera (50.6 MP) today. I took these Bald Eagle photos not knowing all the settings yet. The one photo of the Eagle is about 200-225 feet and the other is about 175-200 feet using 896mm total.

Full Moon

– Full Beaver Moon – November This was the time to set beaver traps before the swamps froze, to ensure a supply of warm winter furs. Another interpretation suggests that the name Full Beaver Moon comes from the fact that the beavers are now actively preparing for winter. It is sometimes also referred to as the Frosty Moon. (Farmer's Almanac).

I saw this interesting waterfowl at a riparian preserve in the greater Phoenix area yesterday. Anyone know the kind of bird this poofy-headed creature is? Thank you.

It's a mixed-up domestic mallard.

Wonderful image! What kind of hummer is this? We have Ruby-throated here in Maryland.

It's a male Anna's Hummingbird.

There will be about 10 in all.

These were taken in my daughters backyard in California. I used a feeder to attract them but sat out in the open with my Canon T3i and 75-300mm zoom. I love to get them in flight as it's such a challenge. I move the feeder and my chair around for different backgrounds as much as possible but still have to take the sun angle into consideration. One time, one of them flew directly at me and hovered just a few inches from my face and went to each ear too! I stayed frozen so I wouldn't scare him and it was so awesome!!!!

A couple of days ago, my wife and I took a drive to the Oregon Coast. A truly beautiful day with awesome views to photo. I used my Nikon D70 camera with an AF Nikkor 70~210 non-D lens. Of course, it was so sunny, I could not preview the flicks and so just continued to shoot. Lo' and behold, when I transferred the pics to my computer, I could not believe my eyes. Right smack dab in the middle of every shot, was a black spot. Well, my research told me it was dust on the sensor. I cleaned as per instructions, and everything is fine now. My question is, since I am new to digital photography I would like to know if any of the post photo software is capable of erasing the spot. If so, what is put in its place on the photo? A lesson to be learned. Check the test photos before going on a shoot. Thanks for any assistance offered.

She is a juvenile -orange eyes/white tips on her feathers- about 8 weeks old. She will soon go south for a season or two then return and mate. That's when you can look for eggs. Beautiful shots!.

Nope, Bambi was a guy this is a doe ...........

Snapped from 200 feet away with my 7-200L f/4 glass on my Canon 70D.

Had to manually focus because there was a fence between us, kept it at f/4 to blur out the fence

Cropped it big time ........

While out photographing Ospreys, I shot this pretty bird with blue feathers mixed in with a plant with blue buds.
The distance was about 40-50 feet using 896mm total.

They look like blueberries or huckleberries, but I don't think they are. I couldn't get close enough to find out.

I took these photos yesterday at my deck. Since these photos were first time in 2015, I had not planned to use any flash set up. For this reason I had to shoot at 4000 ISO and even on one image 6400. The exposure time was from 1/800s to 1/1600s. On my Canon lens 70-200mm 2.8,
I put 2x extender.

Great shots!!!
