I second the black acrylic paint. I didn't use it on a camera, rather on a black laptop. Did the job nicely.

Mine was a C2100 (with a long lens, supposedly a Canon design). Bought it in 2002 at $400 (original 2001 price was $1000). Wonderful camera, went all over the world with it. Became a cult camera, holding its resale value nicely. I sold it in 2008 for about $150. I still marvel at the quality of the images.

I had two ViewSonic frames and they both failed (as did a Viewsonic monitor). Presently I am using a Micca frame (from Amazon) and I am very satisfied with it.
