Great capture.

Thanks. The trouble with shooting from a ships deck is that the shots are all hand held and the ship is always in motion. So I’m afraid they all will come out a bit soft.

Were got our view from a small ship (186 passengers) at sea off the coast of Mexico. Can’t wait to process them with the real computer program. Diamond and Solar flares.

I recently posted a request for advice on printers to which I received a total of 2 replies - for those two I am grateful. I believe I have gone out of my way to be complimentary to many, many, many, of the Hogs over the last 5-6 years, often for the effort shown more than results, and I must say I am very disappointed by the response.

You may find that with a little bit more info in the title of your request, you will get better responses. Usually when I see something that has a single word in the title I tend to just pass it by.
But as to your first request for help, when I went back and looked I wasn’t sure whether it was about an outside printing service or whether you wanted advice on a printer to buy. As CPO said, no one was ignoring you, only the subject.

Shutter speed and auto ISO will help you to improve your results. On hummers I usually use a 1600-2000 shutter speed and auto ISO. BIF are also best when you use the higher speeds. Getting hooked on birds will drive you nutty until you become satisfied with your shots, but it’s worth it. You have a great start.
Welcome to the world of birding.

I'm now finding birds everywhere. And, I'm actually attempting to shoot them instead of just looking at them and listening to them! Here are a couple I found in Ecuador.

Do any of you birders know what the 3rd one is? He's rather large.

Nicely done shots, especially since you were shooting landscape. As far as the name of #3, its possibly this one…..

It is probably one you may have had back in the day. 😆

It's only a terminal and not a computer. It is also relatively new, 90ish. as the CRT corners are quite square and not round.

It’s showing a monitor that's from 1986. The keyboard is an 1980s model. The computer box was underneath.

Just imagine how much this has changed over the past few million years...

I imagine that since the rock formations are limestone, this was seabed at one time. Some form of uplift had to have happened to get the elevation it has now. I think that millions of years ago it was covered by the seas and after or during the uplift it started being eroded.

Your timing was much better than mine. Great shot. There were 18 of them when I visited.

Thank you 😊. Whether it’s limestone or granite, the sea always wins.
