looked into switching from my D750 to the Sony line. Specs and staying ahead of the curve were the major factors getting me motivated. But, decided to put it on hold for now. Cost upgrade is just too much to do right now.

If I sold all my Nikon equipment, and replaced it with Sony, I would still need to shell out $4,000+. The Sony lenses are just so expensive, and unlike Nikon, there is not nearly as much available in the resale market.

If I was starting from scratch, or if I had the need for less a range of glass, I would probably grab a used a7III and just accept the lens prices.

my focus group of one.

I think you may have solved my problem--where do I find this security setting?

in the finder window, touch the curser to the file, but don't open it. Then use the command and "i" keys to bring up the file info window. At the bottom there are choices for "Sharing permissions" make sure they are moved to the "read and write" option for all. then close that window and you should be all set.

per the PPA

Your images are copyrighted to you from the moment you create them. While this copyright exists, federal registration is necessary in order to legally enforce those rights. Getting "full" copyright protection involves registering your work with the U.S. Copyright Office at www.copyright.gov.

I've just applied for copyright for my entire catalog when I have had a job big enough to take the $250 from to do so, I try to do it every 12-18 months

Worth, is a matter of point-of-view. You have a value, and courts have a value.

I have been involved two lawsuits of image usage in my career in advertising. In both cases, the client gave the agency a photo stating the "owned it" Turns out, they owned a usage, which the new projects exceeded because of the usage contract having expired. One was used in a national ad by a financial institution, the agency & client settled for $3,500 with the photographer. The other was a start up tech company that had got a low price from the photographer because it was minimal collateral usage for one year, but then gave the image to the agency to use in national ads, billboards and on the web. The company settled with the photographer by agreeing to have him do all of their photo work for the next year at a set price per image.

In both the cases above, the professional photographer worked with a lawyer, and always had signed contracts as well as documented copyright on all images. If the national organization used your image the first thing to establish is, are you the registered copyright holder of the image. Have you used it somewhere and been attributed? Is the image data info listing you as copyright holder? And if you have any idea, where did the organization get the image?

I received a printed book from Blurb which has a mixture of colour and b&w photos. Most of the b&w photos have a blue cast to them that is ugly. The colour photos look good. I have had b&w books printed by Blurb before (no colour) where all the pictures look great. Interestingly, the cover of this book is b&w and it looks fine.

Has anyone else experienced this and, if so, do you know why it happened? I have contacted blurb but haven't received an answer yet.

If the file supplied is gray scale, the print should be neutral. Anything outside of that would be the printer's issue.

If you made the file black and white, but still had the color setting as RGB or CMYK you would need to carefully calibrate to match the output devise for desired amount of hue.

Looking for a UHH review on this lens, Experience prefered to provide a good Review.
I am interested due to the 2.8 constant aperture, allowing plenty of light.
I presently own a Nikon 11-20mm 4.5-5.6 wide angle, for my Landscape Photography

had this lens when I was shooting with the D7000. Just get it. It's good, fairly inexpensive, and is a great match for the D7XXX series. I didn't really use it wide open, but have a lot of great photos from this lens. Got rid of it when I went full frame and sold it here on the forum for about $50 less than I had paid for it.

Hi everyone, I have been following this discussion for about a year and have really enjoyed it. Now I need some advice. I want to upgrade my D5300. The D500 is my choice but not my pocketbooks. I am debating between D7500 and a D610 full frame. They are more in my range. I have a Nikon 18-200 lens that is my carry around and a 40mm micro and don’t know if they would work on D610. Any advice would be appreciated

As others have said, going full frame means upgrades to your collection of lenses, so take that into account. You can get a slightly used D750 for well under $1000 these days, and is my current day to day camera.

If were to stay in the crop sensor realm, the D7200 would be my choice.

I am seeing that Adorama has this listed for $259 - new.

Do you have a link for that listing? I'm seeing $429.

I think it's been at about $350 for a year or so, but now that everyone's home taking photos of bugs the price seems to have gone up.

I deal with a lot of clients that have different methods of sharing large files. Therefore I keep accounts with;

• Drop Box
• Hightail
• Google Drive

My files are typically .psd, .tiff, .mov, .ai, .indd and occasionally RAW. All work fine, without compression.

I use sets of memory cards when I'm in the field. Then put everything on the laptop/external drive system when I get back to my studio. Never have I needed more than two sets of cards, but I generally don't shoot for more than a couple of days.

I'm a fan of the Tokina 100 macro. I've used it on my D7000 and now my D750. Have heard nice things about the Sigma 105 also, but the Tokina is less expensive.

Does anyone know if the quiet shutter mode on the 780 is as quiet as the 850? Haven't yet seen this mentioned in any of the reviews, and having some need to low noise for certain events I'm curious

do a search on ebay and filter the results for "sold" and "completed" that will give you a list of sales. Brick and mortar resellers will always get to charge more as there is a bit of peace of mind buyers find in purchasing from them that you can't match.

The other source to watch is http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/board/10

You can also watch the classifieds here on this siite https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/s-6-1.html
