Linville River Falls

As the river works its way down to lower elevations, it enters the Linville Gorge...often referred to as the " Grand Canyon Of The Southern Appalachians ". In this picture, you see the minor upper falls ( some people standing below them on a ledge ) and the major falls as the river exists the rock walls into a 50 foot drop to the bottom. Many thanks, Vaun! You are right. I have taken many photos out in my favorite park, early in the morning before the fog has lifted. It has added an attractiveness to many of the images. Yes, sitting on one of those benches would indeed be a chilly rest
