It's nice even in February. You can sit at the Death Valley Ranch pool and let the date palms drop ripe dates on you.

Death Valley, California. Beautiful anytime but can be especially so in early spring and not so hot either!

Dewey8 ... great suggestion .. just checked out the site. Thanks.

There's lots of good features. If you look just below the search box you will see a bunch of topics listed across the page. If you point your cursor at them you will get a drop down menu of everything in that topic. In your case, a useful feature can be found in the "Lenses" topic called "Lens feature search". You put in the criteria of a lens you are looking for and it will return all the lenses that meet your criteria.

Good luck. Hope this helps.

I have been researching zoom lenses for my e-mount a6300 for a safari to Kenya. Currently I have the Sony 55-210 but that does not get me close enough to bird life and animals and I end up always pushing the lens to max. I have looked at suggestions on the web and also looked at Brian Smith's site and Friedman's book on the a6300. The more I research the more confusing it seems to become. The last lens I looked at on the web was a Sony FE 100-400 mm, but it is full frame and an A mount and it is not cheap. The big question: is that an appropriate lens for the a6300 ... would it work without loss of functionality, quality, resolution? Are there other suggestions you might have specifically for the a6300 in terms of zooms and brands other than Sony? What does your experience with the camera suggest? I would appreciate any and all help I can get as this would be a significant purchase for me and the trip to Kenya is a once in a life time trip. Thanks all.

You meet the nicest people living in the country.

I was walking out of a farm store this morning after buying some electric fencing materials and:

A nice woman was walking out in front of me towards the parking lot.

She turned towards me while walking and said,
“Did you hear about the two potatoes that got married?”

I must have had a quizzical look on my face as she continued on by saying,
“They had a little tater and named it sweet potato.”

I thought that was cute so I smiled and she continued on by saying’
“Sweet potato told her parents that when she grew up she wanted to marry Tom Brokaw”.

“They said you can’t do that…..He’s just a common tater”

I have to admit I chuckled all the way to my truck. Glad I walked out with her.

It may be corny, but I like like it.

You also might want to take a look at ACDSee. I've tried a lot of photo editing programs and it works the best for me.
