CHG CANON - That was the problem. I checked the user manual and on page 72 (I hadn't gotten that far yet), it showed how to change the Aspect Ratio. When I did, the problem was solved. Thanks!

I recently acquired a Canon EOS-R camera and I am still learning about its features. I put my favorite lens, a Tamron 18-400, F 3.5-6.3 lens, on it using a Canon adapter. When I take a picture, there is a shadow around the edge as seen in the attached picture. Is there a different adapter I should use or is there a setting on the camera that needs to be changed to eliminate it? Thanks.

I've had some luck with PDF Expert. It provides some editing capabilities.

I took these pictures at an informal gathering of photographers and models in Connecticut put on by The Photo Plug, a group that describes themselves as "a group of creatives based in the tri-state area with a mission to bring together photographers, videographers, and models of all skill levels on a monthly basis to facilitate collaboration with peers of the same passion."

The pictures were taken at the Riverfront Park in Glastonbury, Connecticut.

The people in the first picture are not models, just a gentleman showing a young child how to blow bubbles.

There was no post processing on these pictures. Just pictures from an amateur.

Thanks Tom. That was the attitude on the Cape this weekend, calm and no worries.

The first two pictures were taken in Eastham, MA, on the bay side, and the other ones were taken nearby but on the ocean side. All were taken this weekend. All were taken with the camera on "automatic." No post processing.

Here's one of a young girl getting her horse ready for competition. I wasn't intending on it being a silhouette shot. It just came out that way.

They were taken on the same day, January 15th, about one mile apart, on the same river. I've never seen anything like it.

Here's a close up for those who have never seen an ice dam.

The place was packed yesterday with the traffic backed up for miles with people wanting to see the ice. Here's another shot just north of the bridge.

For those that didn't know what DaveO meant when referring to "the ice breaker working," here's a shot of the Connecticut River this past week. The swing bridge is right behind the Goodspeed.

After nearly 50 years of marriage, a couple was lying in bed one evening, when the wife felt her husband, begin to massage her in ways he hadn't in quite some time. It almost tickled as his fingers started at her neck, and then began moving down past the small of her back. He then caressed her shoulders and neck, slowly worked his hand down, stopping just over her stomach. He then proceeded to place his hand on her left inner arm, working down her side, passing gently over her buttock and down her leg to her calf. Then, he proceeded up her thigh, stopping just at the uppermost portion of her leg. He continued in the same manner on her right side, then suddenly stopped, rolled over and became silent.
As she had become quite aroused by this caressing, she asked in a loving voice, ‘Honey that was wonderful. Why did you stop?' To which he responded: 'I found the remote.'...

I tried to capture a seed in flight but it was difficult. This is what I got.

At this point, the foliage in Connecticut is probably the same as you found in New York. There seems to be a lot of yellow and some faded red leaves, probably due to the dry conditions we have experienced. The pictures I posted were actually taken in 2015. I wanted to go to Vermont over the Columbus Day weekend but I heard there wasn't much color there either.
