Someone asked about this lens. It took about a four month wait to receive it (Ordered Nov 3 to Shipped Jan 29) from Adorama. So here are some pictures from last evening at various focal lengths. I have not used it very much for various reason, one of them has been the weather.

Has anyone actually managed to lay hands on the Tamron 18-300 lens for the fuji system or any other system for that matter. I've been waiting for quite some time for one on back order and if you have one what's it like as a general walk around jack of all trades lens.
I have it. I ordered it Nov. 3, 2021 from Adorama and it was shipped to me Jan 28, 2022. I used Adorama because B and H wanted you to pay for it when ordered. Because of health issues and winter weather I have not used it very much. It didn't come with any instructions and Tamron didn't have any downloadable instruction either. As noted by some reviews the zoom is overly tight in the middle of the zoom range. Someone claimed it loosens up after awhile. Maybe mine is a little looser now or I got use to it. I take a lot of landscape pictures and did not like changing lenses so often out in the elements.
Under some conditions, when the exposure is changing, it makes little clicking sounds, which of none my Fuji lenses do not. I will never be using it for video so this is not an issue for me.
Without any aperture ring on the lens it is adjusted on the camera or set to auto through the camera. The IQ seems fine to me.
You should try that again this year, noting the dates. Then see how close together in time you can capture the two conditions.
[quote=ecobin]It's been in the teens. ChesLen Preserve (one of my favorites in the summer) was desolate and very muddy - the water table was very high.
Very nice photos.
With birds, mud, and liquid water it sounds like spring.
Welcome, from almost Minnesota.

I have used Wasabi in my D810, But my new d850 won't recognize them.
Some people probably should recycle their Nikon equipment on the used market before everybody knows this.
I have used Wasabi and their chargers for multiple cameras for maybe 10 years. I have had other unknown brands that died unexpectedly. If any battery starts to swell stop using it.
