I debated get a d500 as 2nd body because of cropped sensor but went with 2bd 810 because I can easily switch to cropped mode when needed

Yes. If it added value to my work. An average weekend for me is 1 thousand plus pictures. Freelancer for newspapers and magazines. Primary is sports. Spent that much on 300 mm 2.8. Well worth the investment
