A few months ago, based on several recommendations/reviews, I bought the Marumi 100k filter from Amazon to use for the eclipse.
Just got an email from Amazon that I'm getting a refund (credit) because the seller couldn't document safety info.
I've practiced with the filter a few times, and especially since I'm viewing the sun's image on a tablet via wifi, I feel satisfied with the filter, and its safety in my use of it.
Just a heads up, though, for anyone else.
Hi Marion! Thanks for the welcome!
I'm down here in Georgia, southeastern USA. (I think that's why I like to travel. lol)
Those daily archives are seriously kinda neat - there's always a tidbit or two that really hits a topic of interest.

Hi all -
Have been following the daily archives thru email for the last month, and am really impressed by the width and depth of info one can gain from this site. It's a great resource, so thank you!
I went back to school to (finally) finish my degree in accounting. An elective was an Intro to Photography course. I found that I had much more passion with that course than any of the others - kinda neat.
I like traveling (I've taken all the Amtrak cross-country trips), so landscapes are a favorite, as is candid street photography. I've got a Canon t6s with 18-135mm, 10-18mm and 55-250mm Canon lenses, and the Rokinon 16mm f2.0 (I finally got a good shot of the Milky Way with that guy!)
I'm looking forward to learning much more about photography thru this site.
Thanks for being here!
Bill
