I tried that, but Adobe has discontinued that feature. It says that most lens will be quickly updated. Does not fix the problem.

I get frustrated because sometimes LR gets the correct lens, other times not. Sometimes it will identify my Sigma 14-24 and the next time, it identifies it as Sigma 12-24 with other Sigma lens, but not the 14-24.
LR frequently identifies the Sigma 14-24 as Nikon 14-24. Same thing with Nikon lenses. Frequently I just have to choose a lens profile that looks okay since the one I need is not available.
What am I doing wrong.? All my lenses do have a LR profile and have been identified correctly at one time or another, but the profile is not being consistently identified and is not showing up as an option.
It appears that Adobe no longer has a custom lens capability.

The problem is usually me doing something wrong. I just need to know what it is.

I have the Nikon 200-500. I'm very impressed with the VR capability. I have some shots I never thought I could handhold and they are sharp even at 1:1.

I have the D850 and love it. Many expected it to sell for north of $4K, but at $3295, it's hard to turn down. The more you know about its capabilities, the more you appreciate its amazing range of photographic capabilities. It's worth the wait.
