My wife and I spent half a beautiful day there last month. The visual effects getting to the top were fantastic! Spent quite a bit of time photographing in all directions.
This brings back many memories. I was an engineer that helped develop the Apollo Mission simulator and spent time at Cape Kennedy and Houston during early parts of the Apollo program.

get your facts straight.....John Beilein is only 65!
I was considering this but your price seems out of line. The refurbished one at Canon sells for $1079 and it comes with a one year warranty.
When it gets that bad just turn on the water sprinklers. Problem Solved.
I used this successfully for quite a while doing train photography. However it broke during a trip to Iceland and I replaced it with the 24-105L lens. When I went to get it repaired, I found that this lens has had a number of failures of an internal cable. Now it sits on the shelf.
Thanks for the link. I just lost an hour following the links on Rumble.com. It was a new site for me.
On the last Viking river cruise I took, the guide passed out earphones that allowed me to fall back from the group to take pictures and still hear her commentary. As long as you stayed within range of her transmitter you could follow at your own pace.
If you are near upstate New York you should check out the Montezuma National Wildlife refuge located between Syracuse and Rochester. They have about 80 bald eagles that are residing there over the winter. The refuge started introducing the bald eagles into the area in the 70's. There are roads through the refuge that allow you to see many forms of wildlife as well.
King or not - These are fantastic photos. Very enjoyable viewing.
Makes me want to get there this summer.
If you are interested in a refurbished Canon 100-400mm lens check out the Canon site. There is a sale on them this weekend. I just bought one.
I am a retired computer systems engineer who used to be active with photography starting in the 60's with my Pentax Spotmatic. As the kids came along I switched to video cameras. As they are now all grown and raising families I am back to recording the growth of the family tree with my camera. Since I have remarried after the loss of my wife to cancer, my new wife likes to travel so I have added travel pictures to my repertoire. I have been using Canon equipment for the last 10 years on trips to Europe (Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, Netherlands), South Africa, Iceland, Ireland and all along the US east coast. The next year we plan on doing the USA west of the Rockies. I have been watching UHH for about 4 months and decided to finally join. I find a lot of the topics very enjoyable so I hope to both learn and contribute.
