WOW!!! Beautiful Photos!!!
On 10 June 1944, the village of Oradour-sur-Glane in Haute-Vienne in Nazi-occupied France was destroyed, when 642 of its inhabitants, including women and children, were massacred by a German Waffen-SS company. (Wikipedia) De Gaulle made the decision to leave the destroyed village as a war memorial .. Very haunting when you read the entire story.. A new village was built in the 1950's adjacent to the site.. These were all shot with a Nikon A900.
Great looking village, interesting history. Have put it on my list to visit!!!
WAY TO GO!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
