Very good. Looking forward to more. There is a limit of 10 photos per post.

Thanks. I thought there was a limit. Maybe I’ll get to more later. Need to practice with new camera before big trip to Peru.

Thanks. Tiny airport. No commercial passenger flights. 3 hr drive to Denver International. But the region is beautiful.

Thanks. They took forever to load, so I didn't try to post more. Maybe there is a limit. Fun to look back.

I rarely post photos anywhere but thought I'd put up a few favorites from past few years. Most are from Sony a7iii with Tamron lenses.

Mountain town Salida, Colorado, on the banks of the Arkansas River, has a small airfield: Harriet Alexander Field is at 7523' at the base of the Collegiate Peaks in Chaffee County. It has a runway 7348 feet long. We enjoyed a great airshow last fall. These shots are with Sony a7iii and a Tamron 150-500, handheld. (Critique welcome. Could have used a faster shutter speed to stop props, I guess. More interested in the action and drama.)

I am looking to buy a camera and I wanted to know three things first of all. What brand would you buy?
Second, what type would you buy i.e. mirror less or DSLR
And finally, would you ever buy a camera that has been refurbished?

It depends in part on your experience level. And also on the type of photography you plan to do.

It is my sense that DSLR has been superseded by mirrorless.

And size is a factor. Go to a camera store and handle a variety of cameras.

Do you want to change lenses? Or have a fixed lens?

All the major brands offer a wide spectrum. Answer these types of questions and then zero in on brand details.

I will put in a plug for my Sony line!

Wondered if anyone has a print copy of a guidebook for the Sony RX10M4 they would part with. The one on Amazon is pretty pricey. Since they have been out since 2017, I thought perhaps someone had one they no longer needed. I do not expect free. I have the manual that came with the camera and am familiar with other Sony mirrorless cameras. Thanks.

Yes, just saw that too. Thanks. Good reminder to leave a record of sites/online memberships with one's end-of-life instructions. And passwords.
