Great information Thank you. My current card is probably 8 to 10 years old was the best at the tie I never had any issues with it and don't now. However Adobe is telling e I am not getting all I can from the program unless I upgrade. Probably time anyway... I will look at the site your mention... I'll let you know how things turnout.
Thank you

With the recent upgrades for Photoshop. My graphic card is no longer able to support the program. I have been spending a lot of time on line looking at different cards. Google search resulted in a very expensive suggestions around 600 to 900 dollars. I am wondering if any hoggers have found a reasonable card that will work without breaking the bank. I am using a windows machine and my operating system is Win 10. I currently have a GeForce NVIDIA card with he latest drivers for this card and it has worked very well up to this point. But, alas, no longer with the new AI updates... anyone out there run into this? Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

I have been looking for this photograph in my file for a long time I still have not found the original slide, However I did find a print that I had put into my portfolio a long time ago (1977).
Anyway I was invited as guest to the first Formula One Gran Prix in the streets of Long Beach CA. I was given a complete pit pass to do some photography for my friends who invited me. This was the year of the great battle of the Championship between John Hunt and Niki Lauda. They have made a movie about this battle between these two amazing drivers. Also a race between Ferrari and McLaren motor cars.
However I was always a fan of Mario Andretti and his style of driving. My favorite shot of him sitting ready in his race car waiting for the go ahead to enter the track. These were taken during the qualifying stages to determine what positions the drivers would have on race day. I was very exciting...

I will add a couple of shots of Hunt and Lauda as well as their cars.

Enjoy this blast from the past...

Bob

Roger, The original are 8x10 they are matted as a 14X10 . I was unable to scan them so I set them up in my lightbox and shot them with my d850.
The I need to crop out the frame. This should explain the the cropping. I should have resized them back to 10X8 at 300 dpi...

Having sold my home in the southern part of the state and moved to the central part of the state I had to clean out all my stuff, including most of my old photographs and some of my older equipment as well. But here are a couple of my experiments during the short time I had a partnership with another photographer... I am pretty sure these are duplicates and the models received copies back then. I kept these because I thought they were well done and were interesting for my portfolio...

These young ladies were cousins and a lot of fun to work with.
They didn't smoke and the gun was a prop, lol...

A couple from a model that helped me provide photos for the instructor with out home work... Go shoot some photos he said, we will review them next week... Ha!!!

Sorry about the quality these prints have been in storage for over 20 years, tons of scratches and dust... I kept them because I aways thought they were interesting. Also the models were college kids trying to make an extra buck, not pros for sure. But they all had interesting stories...

Have you deliberately cropped these otherwise fine shots?
How did your photography career progress?

Could not say. these are copies of the original prints that are mounted behind a matt. I took these about 24 years ago when I was just learning the fine points of art photography. Learned a lot since then not to bring up the fact that it is now all digital. But I like the dark room on my computer. Smells a lot better...
Never got to the point of running a full time studio, although I did partner with another photographer for a short time. I was at that time operating a full time electronic home entertainment service business. Better pay!
But my love for photography has kept me involved... I now in retirement do a little free lance work to help defray the cost of the "hobbie"...

This swamp creature is perhaps dangerous because she is so alluring compared to the typical ones in horror movies.
In the first photo, she is bunning her hair getting ready to wrestle the alligator she is looking at.

The fact that the subject is in an unusual environment makes it not another ho-hum nude female photo.
