Using canon with multiple Speedlights. Wish to use Odin transmitter to change flash power settings. What does the Speedlight need to be set to in order for Odin to make those changes remotely?? Thank you in advance

Assuming I use my Sigma USB docking station to adjust focus on my Canon 5d Mark iii, would it be safe to assume that it wouldn't be set to use on my Canon 7dM2 ?? Can I also make these same adjustments in the Camera for each DSLR ? If I am thinking correct the docking station does the same thing that can be done in Camera ?? I also assume that using the dock to adjust those Sigma lenses that I only use with one camera would be ok. ??

Thanks in advance for your help.

recently picked up a Sigma 120-300 f2.8 and have thinking of adding on a 1.4x or 2.0x converter to use with it at times. Not sure of the two would be the better buy. On a whim I tried my Canon 1.4x (older model) with the Sigma lens/Canon 5dm3 and was surprised to find it works well and auto focus works fine as well. So now I'm thinking of the spending the money and getting the Canon 2xiii and it should also work on the Sigma right ?? or do I save some money and get the Sigma 2x and wonder if it will work with my Canon glass ?? So does any use Canon lenses with Sigma converters or has anyone ever taken the tie to compare a Sigma 2x to a Canon 2x and if so, what did you find ?? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Would love to hear from those that use a Monopod along with a heavy lens. I'm using a Canon ef 500mm F4 as well just picked up a Sigma 120-300 f2.8 (just as heavy as the Canon). Not sure my ultra light mono will do the trick. I would like to hear what model/brand your using and with or without a head. I have a pistol grip now and love it, but don't think it will hold this weight. Thanks in advance for any feedback (photos would be great as well.)

I have the 50-100m Sigma 1.8 and love it. I picked it up for use with my Canon 7dm2 and just now tossed it on the 5dm3 (full frame and this is what I got at 50 and at 100.

it's time, im in the market for a new PC and would like some feedback.
I use my pc for email, social media, and editing photos (lightroom CC).
I am NOT a gamer. I do view my share of Utube videos and stream Netflix.....
I should also share I am not a computer person. When I walk into Best Buy or ..... I will be at the mercy of those helping me. So I turn to you that do what I do. I've found (on mycurrent pc that is 7 yrs old) that using Lightroom CC and saving smart copies does use a fare about of space.
What do I look for in a PC (meaning the guts). >??? I should add I've tried a mac several years ago and to be honest I don't wish to enter the learning curve that is transferring from PC to Mac. So, lets talk PC please.

Thank you in advance for any/all help.

you've been invited to shoot your buddy's band at a motorcycle club event and you are sure to be asked to shoot some bikes with or without riders on them. Whats the first lens you think to use on your full frame camera ??

I should add that it is daylight into prime light of evening time event. Walk around shooting bikes and band. Hoping someone might wish to book a shoot from it, but...... I am there for the music anyway.

I plan to carry a small bag or at least have it with me. I will mount the 5dm3 as well my 7dm2. Just wondering what you would take with and plan to use most.

Thanks in advance.

You have to learn to compose your photos with extra space at the top and bottom (or sides if you are shooting horizontal) so that they can be cropped to different formats without losing important content.

Sometimes hard to do in fast moving sports but could I also leave room when I crop/edit ?? I tend to crop tight for the detail of facial expression or muscle...... as well to crop out unwanted background that I can't control . thanks

can and will admit some of you or most have lost me with your responses. Am I reading that when I edit, I need to know what size Im going to want to print?? When I offer the photos for sale, the options of size offered is many. I can't know what size they will want when I post them. I shoot with full frame and crop cameras, does that effect me ? I see that in LR CC I can pick size when I export. If I size for 8x10, does that mean they wont be able to click on 4x6 or 5x7 ? My fear as I learned yesterday that when they click buy, and choose size it shows them what the photo will look like with red lines showing the crop. Assuming they do and part of the photos or person in the photo is cut off they might not buy and just move on and not contact me =lost sales without knowing why. Is there anyway to insure that all sizes will work ??? thanks

To start, I shoot high school sports and post photos on my own website for parents to buy prints. I use Lightroom CC to edit and crop photos for the best look with the correct content....... What I find is that when a parent clicks to buy photo (zenfolio) the crop doesn't seem to fit the frame size (8x10) and it leaves white at the atop and bottom or cuts of people in the photos. When cropping, how do I know what the size will look like, or can I crop for specific size ??? I did see that when I finish crop and export the photo to a folder I can resize to (example, 8x10). I assume that if I do , then it would be fine for 5x7 or 11x14 as well. Please help. thanks in advance.

I shoot a ton of HS football and other sports. I have a 5DM3 and 7DM2. I also have a 300 f4 and find that once the daylight fades and the field lights take over I put away the 300f4 and opt for the 2.8 70-200. I have friends that use the 300 2.8 and love it, but I can always crop the photo to get the reach I need, where they can't zoom out when the play comes to our sideline. fyi.
