Today I was out in the old village of Royalston MA. Though it was not as picturesque as the shots I posted of New Salem MA earlier this week ,there were a couple of interesting shots. The last three pics are of weathervanes on top of some of the buildings. I hadn't noticed these before so I'll have to be more observant in the future.

Went out this weekend to try to get some foliage pictures, was hoping that the storm we had earlier in the week didn't wipe out all the foliage. These pictures are from the historical section of New Salem. I only saw one picture from this area posted previously on this site. The last picture is a hitching post to tie up up your horse. There are a number of them along one side of the toad.

Unfortunately also pests at the bird feeders. Red squirrels are the worse almost fearless.

Partial moons show more detail. However, sometimes you get lucky and get a full moon that will show some detail. I got the attached shot yesterday morning with my nikon p1000. I consider it to be one of best full moon shots.

I had both eyes done. Unfortunately, they found macular degeneration in the left eye after the surgery. The doctor said they would not have found it before. Everything else came out ok. So no problems. Just getting treatment for the left eye.
