Jerry, yes that's one of my fav's -- we passed this barn several times in the two weeks we were there then finally on the way out of town the last morning, the sun was just right and I made my husband pull over so I could take the shot.... this one is just south of the small town of Philipsburg on highway 1. I'll add a shot of downtown Philipsburg..... or part of one anyway - a great old living ghost town.
We were tempted to move to Anaconda for awhile, but our daughter moved back home so no need to live in Montana - shucks - I love small town living and even tho I live in So Cal..... I really don't like it... hubby does...
nice shot... I can remember the road at bottom of that lake..it was a mean flow through there before they damed it up.. if I remember right, we called it "devils gate",right at the bottom.. [mean rocks and currents on the river]..--joe
still a beautiful critter..especially the colored blobs in the white barrel.. gorgeous!!!---joe
afraid I'm just an ole cowhand[not!! from the "rio***"],,grew up in montana.. had a beautiful cestnut stud colt[yearling]when I joined service..folks gave him away, since I was in service.. he was cross of TW and quarter horse--lordy, could he strut. stud,TW,broke/jumped fence when my mare was in heat,,,new life.. had to laugh, owner of stud wanted me to pay 'stud fee'.we told him we would counter suit for breeding horses when we didn't want them bred,so he quieted down.lol--joe
another picture with the same problem, lower right, same camera settings as 8523. If we didn't have 80 pictures with no problems I would look harder at what we did wrong.
Any other animals/people in the barn??? looks like rising dust.
They are reflections from shooting too much into the sun. A lens hood might help. Also, if you have a UV on the lens, try taking it off. Cheap filters will also cause these. The shadows show you obviously were not facing North, looks like SouthEast.
[quote=NMJean]Hi Greg-Colo.... My nephew lives in Ft Collins too.... I love that little town!! We set a new world record .... 345 Balloons up in one hour!
almost enough to make me homesick..we never got there, but always watched on tv.. got some going over our place, during our little 'fiesta' in deming.--joe
