What kind of flower is this?
I don't think anyone has ever classified ALL the Fuschias. There seems to be an almost infinite variety, ranging from the large, extremely beautiful such as in your photo to the tiny, rather grotesque. I once saw a Fuschia no larger than my pinky fingernail that was all dark brown...not dead, it just looked dead. Never seen an ugly flower before . I did not have a camera, but did a sketch which I will attach.
Very good photo...captivating composition.

Oh, BTW...I like your use of a long lens here to soften the nice green background.

Name's David..Handle's Clicker44. I am an amateur, and I mean that in all aspects of the word.
If there is a poster boy aspect of an amateur, That's me. But I do love photography, and hope to learn. So I'm going to hang out here if that is acceptable and learn what I can from you good folk.
I am an artist by trade and a painter by avocation. My cameras are: (film) Olympus IS3-dlx....(digital)Nikon CoolPix5600 and iPad air2 (I use the proCam APP with it to enhance the manual aspects.).
That is about it for me...I am 75 years old, three former wives...two grandsons, my dog just died not long ago and I live in Oakland, CA USA.

42nd Streets advertised prices are lies. In order to get the advertised equipment at the advertised price, one is required to buy junk packages of add-on equipment at ridiculously high prices.
Last weekend I ordered from 42nd St. a grey market 105mm Nikkor for $700 (normal US import price around $900.) At that time the web site said they had plenty of that lens in stock. Two days later I got an email saying they over-sold their inventory and that they expected to fill the order in 4 to 6 weeks. At that time, and still to today, the web site says they have plenty of that lens in stock.
After several emails it turns out that they could find that lens, for immediate shipment, if I purchased an accessory kit for $150. That package included a $6 uncoated UV filter and a flimsy tripod and some other useless junk. If I did that Id end up paying $850 for a grey market lens.
Bottom line, one spends way too much for what is advertised as a bargain when dealing with 42nd St. Photo. If you want a grey market lens, you are much better off going to e-Bay.

I've been prowling this forum for quite some time, long enough to watch how many of the members have evolved into really good photographers and artists. I figured it was time to join in. I've enjoyed looking at your work; I hope you will enjoy looking at some of mine. Looking forward to some helpful feedback.

Great stuff. A lot of stylistic diversity going on in your body of work. Not just in this post, but in your other posts as well. And you seem to be quite familiar with the works of many 20th century master painters.
Impressive.
thank you. I have made a lifelong study of the Masters...As well as I coud, anyway. My thesis for the MFA was Chirroco / Braque and their impact on Paris / Seville.
Yes, I find diversity key to my growth.
To me, anyway.
Have any of y'all heard of C.H.I.P. ? The world's first $9 computer.
