If you're ever feeling depressed look up Youtube videos of baby pandas. It'll cheer up even the most depressed person.

Looks like that was a horse at one time.

So it's somewhere near Fraser in the White Pass.
I've taken that train 5 or 6 times and never spotted this cabin. I'll look for it specifically next summer.

You've over-saturated this shot. Damp it down a little.

BTW, That's Lake Louis in Banff, not Maligne.

September and early October are great times to be in Banff. Lovely colours and fewer people. Banff isn't any more crowded than Yellowstone.

If you're in Salzburg take a detour to the lovely little town Berchtesgaden and then go up to the Eagles Lair. Ramsau has a lovely little church beside the river
Take the salt mine tour in Berch. as well.
Don't forget Prague since you're flying into it anyway. It's a lovely city.
Stop at Ceske Budehovice and definitely Ceske Krumlov as you travel through Czech (#E55, #3). Do NOT take the highway(#1) out of Prague towards Brno/Vienna. It is extremely boring.
In Salzburg purchase the "Salzburg Card" at your hotel. It gives you incredible deals on all the major tourist sites. The castle and funicular, Monks Lift, the cablecar up the mountain, and many other places. It's an amazing deal.
Salzburg is one of the loveliest city I've been to and is very walkable. In fact do not drive in the city if you can help it. It's extremely difficult.

They're photos of the Yukon, not Alaska.

The Yukon is a Canadian Territory, not a U.S. state.

Stunning fall images from our northern state. Love the poem, as well.

That is a female or young Bighorn Sheep. The long haired white ones with the short spikey horns are Mountain Goats.

I love the old tree shot and the perspective you got along the fence. Beautiful.

Thanks, Linda. The Naturalist that was with us called them that and the other ones (white - photos later) he called mountain goats. I'm still not sure which is correct, I just know they were everywhere - even blocked the door to the ladies restroom!

I have more images from the day and will post as I come across good ones.

A plastic sandwich baggie with an elastic to hold it on works perfectly for almost every size lens.

Sorry, just saw the same idea after posting mine.

Nicholas Morant was a prolific photogtapher working out of Banff, mainly for Canadian Pacific Railway. There is a famous railway curve near Banff/Lake Loiuse named after him.
