The photos on glass that I received have a type of foamboard mounted on the back. The exposed surface of the board is quite tough. I can think of several ways of attaching a wire, including a pair of stick-on hooks with the wire run between them. A pair of very carefully drilled holes in the backer surface, just big enough to insert a bent wire might work also. On some wooden frames I have run a wire between the tabs that hold the backer in place. It doesn't take much. I don't know how metal photos come finished but I'm sure there should be some way to attach a wire.

Just received the 2 prints that I had fractureme.com print on glass. I placed the order last Mon or Tue and just picked them up at the post office. Not bad, considering it was the week of Thanksgiving. They measure 4.8x6.4, borderless, with a quality backing and a special screw to make it easy to hang. Color is excellent. Printed exactly as I sent it to them. Very well packaged. They can also do them with a desk mount instead of the wall hanging. Everything appears to be high quality. $18 each plus shipping. Their largest size is about 21x28 for $125. All rectangles printed in 4:3 ratio, and they also print squares. I'm happy and will be using them again.

I was planning on entering my picture in a juried gallery exhibition but they require a wire on the frame which calls for 2 screws. How can I do this with a pic on metal? Could the metal pic be put in a regular frame?

Why not just mount the photograph to a backing board?

Well, that's what I did finally. $25 to mount a 16"x20" on fiberboard. Let you all know how it turns out when I pick it up. Still want to print on aluminium or glass, but not enough $ at this time to do so..

This is a picture of a replica of the original in Vatican Museum. It blows up nicely to 16"x20". It was accepted at an art gallery juried show. Athena was the goddess of wisdom and righteous war in Greece and Rome. The history of the statue is below.

I have in the past blown picas up tends to as large as 16"x20" with success but at that size the paper tends to warp with time. I am looking to print on a surface that will last a good length of time. I understand you can print on glass. As anyone printed on glass? Any tips I would like to print this pic of a statue. Thanks

Now if you could just select the tree only and move it back onto the original image, It would in my opinion make it more interesting.

No humor meant; you did well.... Rule of 1/3 followed, OK. Lower area two triangles, OK. Upper 1/3 solid but Circle at right side. Starting at lower left a line can be drawn thru the center weight of the people shed group thru the circle upper right, OK. The lower white and the fuchsia color of the upper balance in intensity separated by the quiet blue buffer, OK.

I had a art appreciation professor in college who once said that in painting, as in nature, there are three basic shapes: triangle, sphere and rectangle. Seems it all comes down to that in matters of form.
