This is my FIRST POST... and in response to Mr. 1eyedJack, the guy with the "gorilla photo" I'd like to respond. First of all.... please be nice ,.. there's no need to make judgment, that I should know something or "not" know something.
I've taken some pretty awesome photographs but I don't claim to be a super star. I am self taught and learning. I know very little,.. and am now taking my photography seriously. I have been to school for many things, but not photography,... and the one thing I know when I do "teach" is no question is a silly question.

If I were a NO-IT ALL,.. I wouldn't be here in this forum. I think that's what this forum is all about, " TO LEARN AND GROW".
I am not embarrassed that I know very little, I actually am happy of what I have learned and can now invest in taking my photography knowledge to the next level.

I was using the nikon F1-film body and now currently a borrowed nikon d70 (thats about 6 years old). I have been using it to shoot and maybe because I don't know how to use it correctly, I cant get what I like or what I am used to getting when shooting on my film camera.

Yes,... 2 - my wide angle lens 24-70 2.8 and the portrait lens an AF80-200 2.8. But I have 2 friends with nikons and I can sell them if need be. I'm looking about what would serve me as a portrait photographer and am willing to start over with my camera and lenses.
Thank you.

My niche is shooting natural light and I have invested in only 2 lenses that have severed me very well. I am a self taught photographer and know very little, but what I do know- I do well.

Having said that,.. that my photography started out as a hobby and started making me some good money. I am a young photographer and want to take it seriously now and get to the next level. Having said that- I am willing to switch over to grow as a photographer and am now just starting to "ask questions". I'm at mariaphotography.com, I am going to take a my first photography class finally and now looking at investing in a pro- digital camera.
Thanks for the response.

I've posted a question and can't find it. New to this Forum and it doesn't seem user friendly.
Where do I find my post?

Hi fellow photographers.
I've been using Nikon film cameras and am LATE switching over to the digital world. I shoot portraits,... cd covers, book covers, and shoot for the modeling Agencies in LA , Miami and New York. My favorite photographers use Canon.
Should I switch over to Canon? One photographer said- If you shoot people- do Canon because skin tones and color saturation is better, and if you shoot sport stuff - use Nikon. Whats your opinion?
Greatly appreciated! Maria
