Windows 10 has SyncToy build in, I use it to backup to 3 different drives.

JACKPOT!

Thank you so much. Synctoy is the exact program I was looking for. Thanks again for your help. I knew I could depend on the Hog members.

You can do that with Windows Explorer!

Thanks for the reply.
The big difference between using Windows Explorer and the program is, when using the program you can name and save the parameters of the backup. Then in the future with minimal clicks, you can reproduce the backup with the exact same parameters.

Try FreeFileSync https://freefilesync.org/

Thanks. That’s not the exact program, but it sounds very similar and promising.

I’ve been using a freeware or shareware program to backup my photos and I can’t recall the name of it. I just bought a new computer because my previous PC died. As a result I have no way of finding out the name of the program. The reason I am inquiring here is because a while back someone was asking for advice on a free backup program that was easy to use. At least one of those responses was the name of the program I was using. Basically, the way the program works is, you do a search for the drive, folder or file you want as your source and then you search for the drive, folder or file to use as your target. You then choose whether you want it to add new or modified files to the target drive or delete files on the target drive that have been deleted on the source drive. There are other modifications you can make, but I think I’ve probably confused you enough trying to explain the operation of the program. If anyone can name some of the freeware or shareware backup programs they are using, maybe it will refresh my memory. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.

As long as he keeps us from having a Government run like Europe, (taking your guns so you can’t defend yourself and letting every type of low life immigrate into the Country.) I’ll be more than happy to keep our President.

Thanks for all the replies. It just struck me as strange that Adorama would not want a signature to prove delivery to the correct person or agent thereof in case of a dispute.

Thanks again

It's only money!

Thanks, if that’s how you feel about your money, send me $800 and if it doesn’t show up I won’t feel so bad.

Hi everyone,
I am expecting a delivery from UPS today for a Canon eos 77D from Adorama. The cost was $799.00 and upon reviewing the tracking information it doesn’t mention a signature being required. It seems to me that any item with that dollar amount would require a signature upon delivery. Is it me, or does that seem odd? Luckily I am in a position that I can watch out for the delivery today, but if I wasn’t, I would really be concerned. Has anyone else had this experience?

Bought Nikon P900. Loved the zoom. Camera too heavy for me. Took it back.
Bought Nikon B700. Loved the zoom. Loved the weight. Can't get images to transfer via wifi / Bluetooth / SnapBridge... I've tried over and over and over!

My dilemma: keep the B700 and transfer images to computer (which is old and slow as molasses). And just forget trying to transfer to my iPad Pro.

Oh and the B700 doesn't save images in folders, so each time I connect to computer to transfer images, I have to wade through 100s of images... and I've searched the manual, but didn't find any way to create folders.

I'm stymied. Am I not doing something right? Should I just return the B700 and search for a different camera? Rhetorical, unless someone would like to give suggestions... I'd gladly accept them!

I use a lightning to sd card adapter made by Apple. You insert your sd card into it and plug it into your iPad. It automatically starts up an app to transfer your images. Very easy to use. They also have a lightning to USB adapter. I believe they are $29. Do a Google search for either "lightning to USB adapter" or "lightning to sd card adapter". I am sure you will be happy with either adapter.

Thanks. I have a lot of small birds that come to drink from the ant moat on the feeder. They sometimes chase the hummers away, but I guess they need a drink too.

Am I a goldfinch or am I a humming bird? Well, my beak won't fit in the hole, so I must be a goldfinch.

For all you Sony a6000 users.

If you are looking for some detailed help on your camera, here is a link to some on line manuals on the Sony site that will help.

Let me get this straight you have about $1,000 invested in the camera and you don't want to spend $50 to have a professional clean the very heart of the camera.

I think you need to rethink your reasoning!

First, let me say that over the years I have had to wet clean the sensor filters on my DSLR's several times when a blower just did not do the trick. It's not rocket science, as a matter of fact with the right equipment it is very easy.

Most people complain that when they send their camera's out to be cleaned by the so called professionals, they come back the same or worse. Therefore, I don't care if I paid $5000 for the camera, I would still do it myself.

The reason I was asking was in case the day would come that it would require a wet cleaning, I would like to be prepared with the right solution, swabs, etc..

So I don't need to rethink my reasoning, but thank you for your response

I just received my Sony a6000 and so far I love everything about it. I know there will come a day when the sensor needs to be cleaned and I can't find any information on the internet about approved cleaning methods for wet cleaning this camera. Most articles talk about what not to use on it. I was wondering if anyone out there owns the a6000 and has successfully cleaned there sensor and what cleaning system they used.

Thanks in advance.
