There were about 20 of these birds stopping over in the Denver area and stayed for a few days at a small pond just a block from my home. Separated this one from the flock for a nice single shot.

Took this in Homer Alaska with A Canon 20D and a 100-400 lens at 400 on program. ISO 400 White balance on cloudy. Eagle was sitting on a log. Photo was taken from vehicle window.
