My favorite time of year near my hometown.
It is Halloween for grownups, a people watching mecca, and an assault on the senses of sight and sound !
I have that same type of album with my great-great and great-great-great grandparents and ancestors in it. There is even a tin-type of Abe Lincoln or a super look-alike or its a tin-type copy of an original image. Unfortunately the album is not is in as good shape as yours, the pages are all loose and the leather binding is dry, cracked, and broken due to being in an attic for so long. The index that has hand-written names but the loose pages, not in order, makes it almost worthless. An uncle years ago identified a few old family members which helped. I keep it in archival tissue and container to help preserve it as best as I can.
Years ago a midwest comedian named Herb Shriner joked that his home town was so small that it was located between two Burma Shave signs.
I've had the G15 for about a year now and it is a great camera for the beginner and semi-pro. I have used it for my magazine article images as it can do RAW images when needed and can be used manually or on full-automatic.
It is not exactly a pocket camera which I need now so I am thinking of selling it if you are interested. Looks like new and not used that much.
