I watched an interesting video about prices of external drives vs internal. The guy's point was that external drives - in many cases - are less expensive than bare drives intended for internal use. He couldn't understand why. I knew right away.
He called Seagate and spoke to a very helpful woman for several minutes. In case you didn't know why externals sometimes cost less, here's why. When you buy a bare internal drive, you have lots of choices and lots of specs. You can look at the details and read reviews. When you buy a pretty external drive to put on your desk, you know the capacity and how fast it spins, but not much more. At one time, WD told you what was inside their desktop cases - not anymore. You pay less for an external HDD in a case because it is a lower quality and/or an older drive. If I want an external in a case, I buy the internal drive I want and then buy a separate case.

Have to STRONGLY agree with you on this point. I also recommend you be careful because buying a faster drive than you can use properly will cost you money and you won't necessarily be able to take advantage of the added speed. Best of luck.
I remember paying just under $ 2 per roll for Fuji Press 400 (in 20 roll packages)! I used to buy 1000 - 2000 rolls at a time and got fantastic prices! Those were the days!
Jeff is my Photo BFF and the absolute best BIF and wildlife photographer I know. Very knowledgeable, spends a lot of time on his work and produces fantastic images! (NOT a paid endorsement).
I have used speed lights in the past, but I have a set of 3 elinchromes which I use now. Faster setup, more powerful and much more versatile. YMMV. Best of luck.

No. There's a possibility it would melt while being shipped. Drive to a Stewart's. 😁
I drove my son's car to the local Stewart's before I changed the oil. There was a major accident at the intersection, so I turned around and came home.
I used to love that stuff when my family lived your way (Poughkeepsie)!
Than you all for your service!
I'm a Big fan of Black Rapid for things like this. I use both the Black Rapid Sport Breathe strap (two versions - made for left or right shoulder), and the Black Rapid Double Breathe Harness. For everything else I use Peak Design straps. I also attach the strap to the LENS FOOT and not the camera body when carring a lens with that ability. YMMV. Best of luck!
My favorite long lens bag is the Think Tank Lens limo. Will transport that 400 with a pro body attached. The lens taxi is good as well, but NOT designed to transport such a large lens with a pro body. I used the Limo for both my former 400/2.8 and current Z version with the TC built-in. Best of luck.
I have used Teleconverters (TC) over the years and while they do increase the magnification, they increase a lot of bad things as well. Generally speaking, a lens without a TC will render a sharper image than the same lens with one. The latest F Mount TCs were much better than the older ones, but the same statement applies. I have now switched to ALL Z Mount and don't even own, and have never tried, a Z TC so I can't comment. I will say that my 400/2.8Z with the built in TC is nothing short of amazing and I would assume that to be true because it was made specifically for that lens. As a sports shooter the 400 is my most used lens, and the one I used TCs on the most in past versions. Having one built in is mind-blowing! Best of luck.
You get what you pay for. Do you want a good print or cheap shipping? Try WHCC (you'll need an account) as I use them and find their shipping reasonable and their work awesome. Naturally, what you might think is a fair shipping cost might not be the same as mine. As a business owner, who ships to clients several times a week, I am well aware of the ever rising cost of shipping. Best of luck.
That's what I HATE about those plastic fields! Absolutely no dust action for a nice slide shot. Nice work.

I have a live view option if I elect to use it.
It's extremely rare that I do though.
Now tell me that my live preview is not "real time"....
I don't need "real time", but it sounds like you do for some reason.
Yea, we each are different, or SHOULD I be shooting in real time? If so, why?
What is so magical about live view/real time???
If I take multiple shots, I cannot see the previous shot preview anymore. It goes away when I shoot another shot, just like mirrorless.
Thanks, but it sounds like you believe things work out better for you than they do for me.

You have completely missed the point. Best of luck.

Interesting.
I have my DSLR set to display the captured image for 5 seconds after shooting so I can see what I got.
That doesn't happen in "real time" but it is after-the-fact. What happens if you take multiple shots? Best of luck.

I have a like new Surecolor P600. never in about 10 years have I had one problem. A few days ago I changed the PK cartridge. This resulted in the printer not recognizing the cartridge. I have tried everything known to fix this with no success. YouTube does not offer any suggestions that work for me. I have even bought and tried two different chip resetters with no luck. In desperation I bought a new Surecolor P700 which is great, but I still can't bring myself to throw the P600 to the curb. Any words of wisdom?

Were the ink cartridges OEM? If not, that's your issue.
