I believe that is his point. They are both free calls now.

Interesting about the MRI. I have a defribulator/pacemaker combo implanted in my chest due to v-fib. Was told I could not undergo an MRI cause it would mess up the combo. My Physiologist-Cardiologist says it can be done but most doctors are afraid to try an MRI. So far, I have been able to avoid the need for an MRI, but wonder what will happen if I sometime need one.

Also interested. Was told no MRI with pacemaker. Electro-magnets and leads implanted in the body does not go too well together! Although, I've heard that more current implanted leads are MRI safe. Mine was implanted in 2010.

You’re the one making assumptions. He clearly said they like the photos but don’t want a glossy finish. Which is normal. You rarely see a glossy finish for portraits. The 4x6’s were like proofs and he’s looking to print 8x10’s.

A: Don't ask us - ask the (ungrateful) neighbors. B: Why are you outsourcing 4X6. Surely you have at least an 8.5X11 printer.

Well, your assumptions are ridiculous. First of all, they are not ungrateful, they asked, and I accepted. And I have a B&W laser printer that serves me well. I do not print any photos. At 29 cents for a 4x6 that I can walk up to and pick up, I'm fine with that.

Did you try the image examples at www.printique.com?

I just looked at the site so far, and liked what I saw. They actually offer 6 types of finishes. Thank you.

Always talk to the clients , and before you bring up generative fill be sure it works to your satisfaction. If it doesn’t there is nothing wrong with 10x12 for a group shot.
The group shot is very nice with the sun as rim light..
If you are doing this as a favor, I might offer the suggestion above of providing a thumb drive and the Mpix website.
Good luck

Thank you. I wanted to do it inside because it was at 1pm with full sun, but it kind of worked out over their right shoulder. They are going to pay me for whatever the prints cost (they want to pay me more, but we'll cross that bridge later) and I'm having fun working on this.

If you want to post the photo, I can try to add space so that it can be printed 8x10.

You will have to custom crop the group picture print it on 8x10 will require custom mat as for paper choice review options with client let them choose

That's the problem, if I crop it at all, it cuts off the outside arms of the person on each side.

If you could show them the difference on the MPIX site that would be the safest way to go. IMHO

Don't see that option. LMK if you do. Thanks,

Hopefully, they've seen large photographs of people in matte or lustre, and liked the look. Are there portraits on their walls already?

Good points, Linda. Yes, there are portraits on their walls. I'll have to have a better look and and conversation with them.
