Thank you I didn't know about cleaning connections. Just spent 3 hours outdoors taking pictures with my grandchildren and it focused every time. Couldn't have done it without you.

The camera and original lens is almost 5 years old. The Telephoto is almost 1 year.
Original basic lens is the Nikon DX AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm1:3.5-5.6G
Telephoto is Tamron AF 70-300mm1:4-5.6 Tele-Macro
My auto focus intermittently quits. It doesn't matter if I have a telephoto or the original lens. I will be taking pictures and all of a sudden the focus goes all the way one way and then the other and doesn't focus at all. I turn off the autofocus and manually focus. Then a while later I turn the autofocus on and it works again.
Is this a big problem? Is there an easy fix? I don't have much money so I am trying to come up with a solution I can handle. Any and all insights would be appreciated.
I took this picture in eastern South Dakota. The singing caught my eye so I searched it out and took the picture. Now I cannot figure out what kind of bird it is. The red eyes caught my eye.
If they have a line up for identification, will everyone need to be naked in the line up. Lets face it, if someone walked up to you undressed, you probably wouldn't be looking at the color of his eyes.
You know it is springtime when the trees have buds on them.
I don't know the differences between Notebooks or Laptops for this purpose. I have never used Macs only Windows.
Don't want to spend a fortune but am traveling some and would like to download my pictures before I get home. I know there are opinions out there.
I just picked up a used Vivitar 6150s point and shoot camera for my grandchildren to learn some basics about shooting pictures. We were out for 2 to 3 hours, took about 60 pictures, and killed 4 AA batteries (this could get expensive fast.) What do you recommend in a rechargeable battery and charger for this camera. I have been told Duracell for camera batteries but figure you guys who use cameras might be more reliable than a salesman trying to make a quota.
I think to the right of Lincoln looks like an elephant. The trunk sticks out and the ears are shadowed (especially when they have dew on them in the morning).
Covers all republicans.
Seriously, I am in South Dakota and all talk about more faces will go nowhere as the rock is not stable enough around the faces to add another. They tried to put Jefferson to the right of Washington and had to blast it off due to poor rock quality. I take pictures of the informational markers when I am out so I have references when I travel
Took this for my granddaughter who loves pictures too. Even the flag posed for the picture. I have half a dozen with the flag hanging limp or blowing the other way. This was my favorite before I noticed the flag. I enjoyed finding the Washington profile around the bend
