Thank you for your critique.... I understand the grain because this is a tight crop of a much larger image... The original was shot with a prosumer Kodak Z981... on AV setting... with AF... and a tripod.

I now have a Canon EOS T3i with 2 macro lenses... it is 18MP and in my learning shots... it does a good job on macro as long as I control the DOF...

Greetings... my name is beaux (Bo) and I was retired from being a corporate photog and graphic designer... of course, this was back when I shot film and digital quality was not up to par for printing... unless you had $5000 to purchase a camera... and another $2000 for lenses...

So, now I am getting back in the business as a freelancer and consultant... and I am having to re-learn photography... well, the camera end of it anyway... not much has changed with lighting techniques and the balance of f-stop and shutter speed... and I suppose that composition rules still apply...

I will be posting shots as I go in an effort to get feedback from you guys... please be critical... I need the help...
