I do not want people downloading and using my photos as there own. It is my choice. If in the future I am ok with it, I will post it. But for right now, I am not. I will post specs for a picture separatly. It is my choice.

Hello, My name is Becca aka Graphicsgirl19. I am 19 years old. I am in college for Graphic Design. However only one photography class is offered at my college. I have been looking things up online and talking with my grandfather and father about different photography things. I have also found a few books. If anyone has a really good general photography books to recommend that would be awesome. I have been working with composing shots more than anything right now. It seems like everyone says use the rule of thirds, but I know there are other tips. The rule of thirds never seems to work well for me. So if anyone has any books or other advice to recommend for me that would be great! I have a Nikon D3000 with a 18-55 mm lens and a 75-300mm lens(no auto focus, Tamron). I also am semi-fluent in Photoshop and learning Photoshop Elements 11.

I am starting to be able to take more photos and now that I have a decent camera and Photoshop/Photoshop Elements, I am starting to take more photos. Thoughts and advice would be appreciated.

I took this photo during a sunrise while vacationing in Ontonagon Michigan. I did not edit this photo at all. For some reason, this photo just captivates me and I can't really bring myself to change it at all. Any thoughts?
