After a bit of procrastination on my part the tree is up... My Son's did most of it and my Wife worked on the finishing touches... Then I of course had to take some pictures and do my thing to it...
And I absolutely love the thing you did to it, HDR sandwich?
Well I think it's a lovely photograph. the light is beautiful and along with the reflection make a very good image indeed. The only thing and it is a very minor thing, I wish the head of the foreground swan was a little higher, I realize it's a silly niggle as you could have done nothing about it, but would have just added that extra oomph to it.
I have never seen a Corn on the Cob like this, has anyone else, I'm told it is an ornamental variety, but how it came to grow on my husbands allotment we do not know. Wouldn't fancy eating it, but how beautiful is that.
The thread is "About Street Photography". The 'tat' is a part of that. Try empathising with the photographers vision instead of your 'pictorial full stop vision' - then perhaps you might understand.
OK , In the end I suppose it comes down to why you are taking the picture, I'm an amateur club photographer, so I suppose that says it all,, First I need to satisfy my pictorial bent so that I enjoy the end result, then hopefully it will also impress my peers, and judges of any competitions. Don't get me wrong, I take lots of the most important pictures of all , and that's family ones be they good or a moment caught.
