Thank you. I upgraded to the Yosemite a few months back and lost my aperture program that I loved. Along with NIK this worked for me! Not being a computer guy. I just want to be able to download my large D810 photos. Thank You

I am confused. I upgraded to Yosemite when it first came out and it had no effect on my Aperture program. It is still on my computer and running fine. I did have a problem when the new photos program downloaded but Apple care was able to resolve it for me.

I have used Aperture for years and like it very much. I will continue to use it for as long as possible. You can couple it with m Macphun products for even more versatility. I use Tonality, for instance, with great results for b & w conversions.

Get a refurbished D7000 and put what you save into better glass.

Very fond of my D7000. Can not imagine replacing it until it wears out or breaks down. Find the controls to be very comfortable and have not yet probed the camera's potential.

I use Aperture exclusively and see no reason to switch. The only problem I anticipate would be if I moved to a new camera body that is not now supported in Aperture and I do not see that happening anytime soon. i do however use Tonality for b & w conversions because it is more versatile than Aperture in that regard.

I keep polarizing filters on all my lenses most of the time but not to protect them although that, I suppose, is the effect. When shooting interiors, I normally remove them.

Unfortunately, their is no truly inexpensive way to get good prints. I have a canon Pro 9500 and it is an ink pig. But it gives great prints which I print on Ilford Gold. The whole point of printing yourself is to be able to exercise control over the quality of your prints. if they are going in a photo albumn you might skimp a little but if you intend to hang them on the wall you need to produce the best prints you possibly can. I prefer pigment ink simply for it"s reputed longevity. but that is a more subjective call.

Very nice. I love to take photos of the same object in different seasons and in different light. I hope you will keep this project going,

Very nice. I stop there at least twice a year. Their restaurant is excellent and the place is just so darn photogenic.
