Simply thank you for your time and effort. Like many volunteer positions it’s no easy ride.

Nice set, Frank. The last one reminds me on Clinton, NJ.

Thanks, I was told that waterfalls in Clinton is the most photographed site in NJ. Of course I had to go and take a shot of it.

Thanks for the info. It's a pity about how the location has been "ruined." We have much the same thing here in people bulldozing the desert to build houses, then not doing anything. Sometimes I think there should be a law...but we have far too many of them already!

I am kind of happy about the developer went belly up. Over time Mother Nature will reclaim her land.

I really like these. I'm curious about the house beside the little waterfall. Is it perhaps an old mill that has been turned into a residence?

There used to be a paper mill that is long gone. I photographed it before it was torn down. The town had grand plans for housing 2 long term hotels, and retail stores. They built one 40 or 50 unit apartment building. Before the developer went belly up. Trees and bushes were cut down in anticipation of building. The place is a mess as far as I’m concerned. The river is still there but I think it has effected flooding in some areas. Because of cutting down much of the vegetation.
That house is one of the older houses in town. Not sure if it had anything to do with the mill’s owner.

The water tower is more clearly the subject in #2. In #1 it looks like it could have been an accidental inclusion.

I see what you’re saying. But I wanted the complete sun in the first shot. I guess if I was 30 minutes earlier I could have gotten both in and the tower would have been more prominent.

Jack, when you and others first expressed an interest in posting AI-generated images to Digital Artistry section, the co-manager (cwilson341) and I expanded the guidelines to accommodate.

As a result of doing that, we lost a couple of regular participants of the section, some of whom had been on UHH since I joined in 2012.

I'm recommending to Carol that we shut down Digital Artistry Forum. If she wants to keep it open, I'm going to step aside because I don't see any way in which we can satisfy all the creative interests displayed on UHH.

The lines have become blurred, for sure, and there is always going to be someone who is unhappy with what is allowed and what is not. Interesting times.

If you close down digital artistry you will lose people in UHH. Some of us enjoy creating composites. Whether using some AI or completely AI. You can’t make everyone happy 100% of the time.
No one is putting a gun to your head telling the person you have to post there. If one does not like entries to the section , simply don’t subscribe.
