I just bought a used tripod and wondering if anyone has any input on the subject? It's a Promaster Prosystem 2
I too, have a ProMaster tripod and like it very much. I did replace the head to one that would support my heaviest lens. the head i chose will support 10 lbs. got to be rock solid.
OK let me start by saying this was HARD. I started out by opening up the thread and blowing it up big enough that all I could see was the pictures (not the colum with user names) and scrolled thru. If an image grabbed my attention I saved it in a folder (saved by number 1, 2, 3, etc). I ended up with 42 saved. I then grouped them in catagories and culled that way.
There is no rhyme or reason to the order they are posted in.
This thread is for you to cast your vote for which of my Top Five you think should be the #1 choice. Please simply post the number of your favorite in this thread.
Thanks~

I see a calla lily, half a hummingbird, a whole hummingbird, and an area to the lower right that could be a bat, a ghost, or a bird (sea gull or dove) flying toward the back of the photo.
Yep hummingbird up top, a flower, and turn it sideways look inside the flower
This is train Q144 in Castleberry, Alabama. It came out of New Orleans and we got on it in Mobile and took it to Montgomery, Alabama. We stopped to meet one and I stepped down to take this shot. When you sit behind the throttle all night, you need to stretch your legs every now and then. This is my first attempt at HDR so be gentle on me!!! :D
I am shooting with a Canon EOS 5D and have really been satisfied with my pics. Not perfect but not bad. I use a Canon 28-105 for most of my shooting and have a Canon 50mm 1.8 and a Canon 75-300. I am wanting to purchase a very wide angle lense and am trying to make up my mind. I will probably not purchase a Canon, and am trying to determine the best for the dollar lense to buy. Any input would be helpful. :?
look at the Tokina 10-17. nothing but good news. I am saving for one myself
I am going into the back country for a few weeks and will need to recharge Nikon D5100/AAA/AA type batteries. The D5100 currently requires an AC source. Nikon does not even make a car charger system for the D5100. Where I am going, a solar recharging system seems to be the solution. Needles to say, the less the system weights -- the better. Does anyone have experience with a specific manufacture's make and model equipment?
I have a car charger for the enel14 battery. found it on ebay. I have a D3100 but the 5100 takes the same battery
