I have an Earnst Dieter Hilker circa 1950's. It has a door with a piano hinge on the side. The screws came loose and the holes are kind of enlarged so I can't tighten the screws tight. I wonder what I should do? I do not want to use larger screws nor replace the hinge. Perhaps put super glue in the holes then tighten the screws?

When I encounter this situation I drill out the hole to the size if a small dowel. Then insert the dowel into the hole, cut or saw off and screw in the screw.

I wonder if there's an automated way to check-up on members who haven't posted in a long time. Perhaps, we could subscribe to an automated system that would send an email asking if everything is okay. We could list the email of a partner or a friend in case we weren't able to reply.

I havent heard from "Cheers and Beers" for a while. Our mate from the UK I believe

I was recently diagnosed via biopsy with basal cell skin cancer between my nose and my camera eye (left). I had an MRI yesterday and will get the result (probably) on Tuesday when I see the dermatologist who will do Mohs surgery, tentatively scheduled for early next month. If the worst scenario occurs, how will I continue taking pictures? I tried to look through my right eye as an experiment and it just seemed too weird.

I've had two cancers removed from the left side of my nose. MOHS surgery to remove cancer then reconstructive surgery then dermabrasion to smooth everything out. Didn't affect my ability to do anything.

Good luck

Need help choosing a video editor. I have a large amount of GoPro video's from a vacation that I would like to compile/combined/split/fix color and such. But I have never worked with video. Since I don't use video very often, I am looking for a cost effective one.

What program do you use?

Thanks
Cindy

I use Photoshop Elements.

All lanterns are 100% eco-friendly (made from wood and rice paper) and are then completely cleaned up after the event.

The Water Lantern Festival has been voted #1 Best Cultural Festival by USA TODAY two years in a row.

The festival has a "no lantern left behind" policy and uses an above water line rope to prevent the lanterns from going any further than predetermined.

Some laterns are brightly colored with elaborate designs. Others are covered with intensely personal messages and letters written on them. They all glow in the twilight.

The festival doesn’t attempt to base the event on any cultural traditions, although, Asian cultures have traditions that include releasing lights on rivers, lakes and into the air that goes back thousands of years.

Many people bring their own markers and art supplies. Some are there to celebrate something new in their life that they are excited about, a new relationship, a new job. Others come, to let go of something that they have held onto that has caused them discomfort, or as a memorial, to say goodbye to a loved one.

On my Canon cameras it is the button that takes me to many settings to adjust and set. It's the Q/Set button

Just a basic question.
When you're out taking pictures and you need to adjust settings, do you go into the menu or to the "Q"
Thanks for your responses.
