I read somewhere recently that the .009 was actually .019 federal fuel tax in the late 1800's to pay for the roads needed for those new fangled horseless carriages and the .009 has stuck.

Bingo, white bal was set for a previous shoot, it was the nut behind the wheel after all. Thanks.

My advice is to re-set the camera to factory settings. It's one of the choices in the menu. If that doesn't work, Canon has a customer service dept specifically for the sx50 (and a toll-free number).

Everything has a green tinge to it

I have a SX-50 that I love, but it hasn't been used for a while.
Since I am going on a cruise next month I thought I should check batteries etc.

I turned it on and took a couple of photos and found that in program and auto mode
everything looks fine, as soon as I turn it to any other mode (AV,TV, M)

there is a yellow/green tint to everything.

I am at a loss, can anybody tell me what is wrong
with my camera or is it the nut behind the wheel?

If that is the case what can I do to correct the problem?
