Hi, there.
There are many flashguns with an additional/ external battery pack. I think if in a future we would be able to to have such packs for our cameras both mirrors or mirrorless. It will substantially lower their weight.

Thank you for your help!
Your list includes new models only. It's even doesn't include1st progressive Sony HVL-F58M; plus all this flashes are much pricier than HVL-F36M, but HVL-F20M as best is used as a wireless commander. Prices for other units are from $300 to $500. So for today my wireless photo choice is for cheaper non-TTL units. By the way A99 supports both standart and propriarity systems, including Canons or Nicons.

I just downloaded the instruction manual for the Sony HVL-F36AM. It has its own wireless system. It has an optical eye that senses the flash from a camera's built-in flash. I think the A99 doesn't have a built-in flash so I don't know what you could do. Sony might have a flash commander that mounts on the camera's hot shoe.

Thank you for your help.
Yes. FF Sony a99 doesn't have a built-in flash and doesn't supplies any type of a flash commander, but my Sony a100 has a built-in flash. My goal to work with a new camera and exusting equipment.

Thanks for a reply.
My Sony flash doesn't have a manual mode and trigger system is non-TTL. But in-DSLR I turned to flash to manual , that still has no effect.

My photo equipment consists of Sony a 99 photo camera, Sony flash HVL -F36AM, digital radio speedlite trigger / transmitter system PT-16GY and SUNPAK 433AF flash. A SUNPAK can work in wireless mode with the camera and the trigger system, but the existing Sony flash does not work. Is it possible to work in this set-up?

Hi, everybody! I have received my new camera a few days ago and started testing a myriad of new features of this wonderful device.but I got stuck with its build -in Sweep Panoramic mode. I cannot do this because when I start shooting several frames I get next message: "Could not shoot panorama. Move straight in direction of arrow."
Same happens both with handheld and tripod- mount shooting.
Does anybody has any suggestions?
