These images have really wowed me. I've been documenting a mother osprey with 3 chicks and would kill to get action shots like these. My timing is usually off OR all I get are shots of mom feeding the chicks with dad watching over the family from a nearby tree.
I second Frodo's comment about missing you posting!

I'm so glad you liked them Mike. As I said to Michael, it's so nice to hear comments like you two have made.

Perhaps I should clarify the title. It's not that difficult to get pictures of Ospreys but it's becoming tougher to get different shots from the norm. My friend Harvey and I tried to do just that, today. I'm not sure if we pulled it off but at least we tried and had fun doing it. Here are three.

A female over her home lake.

Just as she is about to land on her nest.

Here she is, very close over our heads. It's worthwhile trying the download to see the intensity in her eyes.

Now, that would be a picture to leave everyone screaming "Photo Shopped".

The goose would probably have enough sense to make the RWB do something like fetch food for the goslings. Or stand guard over them so Mom and Dad could get some rest.

I'm sure some people would jump to that conclusion, Jerry and there would be nothing I could do about it but I can assure you there was no photo shopping done in this case.
