pg.50: Very pretty C. Simon. I like all the color, bright and cheery. I can visualize it hanging on a wall in a very special spot.

Wm, Rockwell is one of my favorites too. I love his works. I was just amazed that you thought it was that good, or were you pulling my leg? LOL I did not know he retained photographers and painted from their pictures. One of my favorites was "The Barber Shop". My Dad was a barber and always had his own shop.

Here is my latest fur baby, a rescue cat from Paradise Humane Society. (Truly, Paradise is the name of the town. Many years ago the name was changed from Pair-O-Dice. Gold mining town many years back.
Today I met "Molly's" previous owner. A lovely lady that takes in many cats and dogs from the Rescue Society. This Lady is known by the Rescue Society and they call her when they get in a cat they know she fancy's. She takes them. That is how she got Molly, but then her cats started disappearing. She was very concerned and to protect them, she turned them back into the Rescue Group to find them other homes. I saw Molly on line, called the Rescue group and if they still had her I would take her. They did and I did!!
That is our story

Molly

Lovely little flower that becomes the dreaded Puncture Vine.

Thank You for replying so soon. You must be up awfully late as it is almost 11 PM here. What is it - 3 hour difference?
I am sorry your husband is ill. Do hope recovery is coming about for both of you. I will try to send you a reply on "private messages".

StVest, yes there are a lot of birds in CA. I just haven't seen many for this past year, and there is a reason for that. I had a major back surgery and can no longer drive, let alone walk much. To get my feeders up I have to have someone put them up for me. From my back sliding glass doors I see many Blue Jays, pigeons (thanks for a neighbor. Dirty birds but fun to watch fly) Oh yes, black birds and crows.

Also Grey Squirrels, which are fun. My husband and I raised three baby squirrels a few years back. They fell out of their nests. Still had eyes closed. My Husband, Bud, made a formula and we fed them with a dollie baby bottle. Soon they would hold the bottle with their two little paws. Bud built wonderful cages for them as they grew, and when old enough he moved it out under the Grape arbor and left the door open so they could come and go. They would jump and climb all over us. Eventually they left for good. That was a wonderful experience.

This got us away from the birds. I'm sorry. Just a fun memory for me. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera then, so no pictures.

Almost forgot _ I sent a copy of your Wax Wing to my daughter. She was so excited because she saw a couple in her back yard. I hope you don't mind. I thought she would like to see it. She is quite a Birder, but only local (about 200 miles from Chico, where I live). She has several bird houses in her yard. She also has Blue Birds nesting each year in their own little house.

PS: Post more of your pixs please. I really enjoy seeing them.

Your pictures are beautiful! You have such colorful birds. I don't see many here that have such gorgeous colors, except for the Golden Finches. I was just so excited to see a flock of Robins here last November. Due to the warm weather they came much earlier than usual. Showing you my one and only.

Love the blue lock! It makes the photo. Photo looks bare when the lock was removed as in the second pic.
