Well Day 227 Challenge for all of you should be an easy one cuz you have many choices.

Hat Trick according to Wikepedia in a sport is the achievement of a postive feat 3 times during a game.

Hat Trick can also mean a stage trick, pulling a flower rabbit etc. out of a hat.

Here are some other ideas:

3 photos with 3 different settings.

Getting people to participate for a photo on the street or in a public place.

And the wild card is is an apple photo so how can you resist this one or not find something to show us.

Red Apple could be apple cider, apple cart, apple of my eye etc, etc.

You got it go with it! Here are a few examples:

Some B & W for the Daily Challenge

The waves are great. I think they probably look much better in b&w than they would in color. Love the whimsy of the overboots.

Just a few while I'm waiking up, and maybe a few after I manage to get beakfast. Tried to find pictures that you would have seen long ago, and would have been done in B&W back in the old days.

Love the covered bridge. Wonderful!

Interesting how things go round and round and then come back to the same place. I think the digital age may have sped the process up a bit. The camera club I am a member of, has a special program based on B&W presentations on a weekly basis. They get to gather to present B&W photos, critique them and discuss methods to improve. They also make presentations based on both color and B&W of the same exact photo. It's a lot of fun and is instructive.

'Banff, Canada' reminds me of an Albert Beirstadt painting...Beautiful

Good day Hedgehogs... Today's challenge is all about black and white. It is something I continue to work on.

Black and white helps to learn the basics without getting too distracted. Black and white focuses the attention on form, shading, pattern, and other graphic concepts, to give them an unusual quality with tone and hue.

With a clear view toward graphics, composition, and design, the photographer can concentrate on:
• How contrast creates lines and how lines lead the eye or psychologically affect the viewer by curving, lying flat, diagonal, or vertical.
• How shapes or lines make a pattern and how shape with texture gives an object form.
• How highlights compete for attention and dark tones create an important negative space.
Many artists prefer black and white because it causes the photographer and the viewer to see the world in a way that cannot be seen with the naked eye.

Ansel Adams known for his black and white photography once said Photography, as a powerful medium of expression and communications, offers an infinite variety of perception, interpretation and execution.

Here are a few examples to get us started. I can't wait to see what you come up with. Happy snapping! :-)
