Just up the road from my house there are several stands of Iris, while not as large and showy as the ones in my weed patch they are quite lovely.
Yesterday afternoon I braved the steep banks into the road ditch and invited a couple of the Ladies to my "Studio"

I am not sure if you have noticed by this forum is slowly changing.

Cosmetic (click, animation), it became 'responsive' (Seamlessly adapts to smaller screens) last year or so...

Admin has been busy.

NYC blocked some roads today for the five borough bike ride. The weather feels more like March 5th.
These were taken at 1/15 of a second at 79th St at the FDR. It wasn't raining yet, but it wasn't dry either.

Great set!!!

You've heard me mention the lake many times along with Kingsbury Wildlife Area.

These are views encompassing about 85% of Lower Fish Lake, where I have my cottage. Mud Lake and Upper Fish Lake are connected to LFL, and they're north of it šŸ©µšŸ’™šŸ©µ

Pear Catus at Sandy Hook NRA. Quite a few around although not as many last year as the year before flowered which should start in a couple weeks. The last three are playing around with flash. Just holding it at different angles & distances. Maybe a flash output change but not likely & these were taken some time ago. Thanks for looking.

We left the hotel early the next morning for a ride through the interior of Sicily on the way to the Villa Romana del Casale which dates back to the 4th century AD to see the mosaics considered to be themost beautiful and best preserved of their kind. This will be the subject of future posts, but first, more beautiful landscapes of the Sicilian countryside. These were all taken through the tour bus windows with a Nikon D7500 and a Nikkor 18-300 f3.6-5.6 lens set at f9, 1/640 sec and auto ISO. Post processing done with Luminar Neo.

Fo more images from the ride from this area, please see my previous posts:

Iā€™m a long time member of UHH and have been on a leave of absence due to on-going medical problems. Iā€™ve lost my mobility and can no longer go on photo walks with my camera so I decided to pull out some of my oldies and give them one more run around the track. I miss the interaction with my old photo buddies.
